Uniform Server - Windows

Our non-profit is using Uniform Server to distribute educational documents on USB drives to people who lack access to the Internet. Uniform Server is working wonderfully. But Windows Defender is being cantankerous. Whenever starting US, the user is confronted by three Windows Defender pop-ups (Control Panel, Apache, and MySQL.) Whether they approve or cancel on the pop-up, the firewall rule is created, so this problem is more annoying to me, but likely disconcerting for users with little or no experience with computers. Thought I'd upload to the latest version of US and, it fails miserably on my machine; leaving the annoying message pictured in the screenshot. Took minotaur's advice from their thread - but there is still no joy, so I'll have to go backwards, but I don't remember which version I had on previously, so I feel I'm a little screwed. Don't have time or inclination to navigate to another server program. HELP?!?!?!?!?!?

Title says it all, I have Zero XI up and running, and I would like to upgrade to Zero XII, but I do not want to lose my settings and databases, is there a step by step guide on how to do so?

I have downloaded and extracted uniform server 11_7_8 when I try to run UniController I get the error message 'Spaces are not allowed please corect(sic) and run the application again'. Have I missed something?

I have a completely fresh install of UniServerZ running on a week old install of Windows 8 Pro. When I start Controller and click Start Apache, the controller program seemingly locks and Windows shows "Not Responding" in the title bar. However, after a minute a popup displays saying "Failed to start Apache" and the controller resumes being responsive. The weird thing is, Apache seems to have started fine. The splash screen auto loads, and I seem to have a fully functioning server. If I click Start MySQL the same thing happens, only after a minute I get "Failed to start MySQL". I have used UniServer for several years. I just bought a new laptop and am trying unsuccessfully to install the newest version of UniServer -- 14.0.2. curl extension is not activated. Edit UniServerZ\core\php71\php_production.ini line: ;extension=php_curl.dll to extension=php_curl.dll "Websocket" (example: https://phppot.com/php/simple-php-chat-using-websocket/) is neither working with uniform server sharing http port 80. Websocket is necessary for control of server actions real time.

Hi, First of all, thanks for this nice piece of software. I'm looking for Uniform Server source code, mainly UniController.exe, and how to build-it. I'm also trying to develop a new custom module for Uniform Server, but I can find the proper documentation. Can someone give me a pointer ? I can no longer start my servers from the UniTray menu. I've installed a few apps over the last few days, which may well be connected, although I've just rolled back to a previous Restore Point to try and mitigate this. Hi, I have installed a WordPress every thing works fine as long i stay on the Server. I can use 127.0.0.1 or the Server IP 192.168.0.112 both show me the WordPress Start Page. But if i Try the 192.168.0.112 from another Client in the LAN i allways get the Page "Cannot display the Page" "the answer takes to much time". may anyone had a suggestion? best regards Ralf

Can someone please advise me about updating Uniform Server? I am running version UniServer Zero XI 11.0.7 with UniController XI V1.0.6. I run it on a removable HDD. I want to update to the newest version of Uniform Server. I have two WordPress websites under development on this server, and I want them to continue to operate after I upgrade. I understand that this can be different in each case, depending on what files may have been altered. I am having a problem with the command line options that the XIII UniController provides when it launches the MySQL server. I run a handful of Uniform Servers in parallel - mainly Coral 8.x.x servers and 1 XIII server. I have recently switched from a Windows 7 Pro (32-bit) laptop to a 64-bit laptop running Ubuntu, and Windows 7 Pro as a VirtualBox VM. The latter 2 OSes are both 64-bit versions. I am trying to upgrade my previous version of Uniform Server to UniServer Zero 12.2.0 on my Windows 10 laptop. At present, I have the following two problems: According to 'phpinfo()', the PHP configuration file (php.ini) is located in the C:\Windows directory. But it's not there. Am I expected to create that file and place it in that directory? If so, do I use use the 'php_test.ini' file (or the 'php_development.ini' file or the 'php_production.ini' file) and modify it as I want and save it then as 'php.ini' in the C:\Windows directory? I installed Uniserver Zero XIII this morning (latest version). I have no experience with Uniserver so it is new to me. I put my codes in there and ran localhost link to my local website...this is message I get.. What can I do to fix this? Hi, We are trying to upgrade our server from the XI build to XIII. Is there a short way about this without reconfiguring the entire server such as httpd.conf / httpd-ssl.conf / production.ini / my.ini and all other previous configurations? On another note, we have been waiting for the Zero XIII modules 5.6.31 separate or 5.6.32. It worked for us installing 5.6.30 in Zero XI but now our security guys are requiring us to us at least PHP 5.6.31. Thanks in advance.
