pfx
Hi everybody.I'm a just new one in this forum.I've this problem that sometimes occurs in a HYPER-V virtual machine with Windows 2008 Server installed and UniServerZ 11.7.8 running: Description:The description for Event ID 0 from source ODBC cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer. If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event. The following information was included with the event:Error in d:\w7rtm\enduser\databaseaccess\src\mdac\odbc\core\dm\utsem.cpp(573), The parameter is incorrect.: ReleaseSemaphore failed in UTSemReadWrite:UnlockWriteI've tried to solve it changing some PHP configuration about PDO (that I use to work on PostGreSQL tables) without good results. Someone can help me with this issue ? Thank you !

simicartan
To fix this problem, the ODBC Driver settings need to be adjusted. Follow these steps: Click Start > Settings >Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Data Sources (ODBC). Click the "System DSN" tab in the ODBC Data Source Administrator Window. Select the name of the Banner/Oracle data source from the list. Click the Configure button. 5. On the Application tab of the Oracle ODBC Driver Configuration window, un-check all checkboxes with the exception of Read-Only Connection 6. On the Oracle tab of the Oracle ODBC Driver Configuration window, un-check the checkbox for Enable Failover (refer to Figure 2). 7. Click OK to Save changes. 8. Reboot the PC. Salvarro
Can this mess up some other settings or is it completely tried and tested?
