Uniform Server - Windows

I have been running US for several days now and it has been very good. However, I have been struggling with one little issue and I'm not sure if it is a config issue or a quirk in the software. Whenever, my DSL connection disconnects or recycles, I cannot access the server again unless I shut it down manually and restart it again. Even so. it seems to take a few tried until I can access the server at any level (loopback or through external DNS) Heres my config: x64 XP Pro Dual core Opteron 4GB ram PPPoE DSL connection DynSite DNS updater EasyDNS domain ucUniTray uniserver 3.5 My You have 1 hosts in your httpd.conf file: mydomainname.com <(changed for privacy)

How to install Zend Optimizer on Uniserver 3.2a ? Anyone can help me ?

I have instaled Uniform Server ver. 3.5 and I have a problem. When I click on Server_start batch file, it loads the server, but after that critical message appears : Apache.exe - Entry Point Not Found The procedure entry point mysql_set_character_set could not be located in the dynamic link library LIBMYSQL.dll When I click on phpMyAdmin, page loads with this error : phpMyAdmin - Error Cannot load mysqli extension. Please check your PHP configuration. Please help me to fix this problems ! Thank you !

I noticed that Uniform Server runs on a virtual drive and so I was a little perplexed as two why the apache.exe process was not working with my firewall. However, I found two apache.exe services running under my task manager, so I wondered if this is a necessary function of the server per say or a configuration issue. If it is intended to run this way, I wondered if both instances will present memory and processor loads also.

Hi all, on the Uniform Forum. I am having trouble launching the version 3.5-Apolle server, from my Vista machine. It states that the disk is busy. EDIT Hehe, nevermind then, I just figured, I had understood the whole "drive letter" thing all wrong. Wonder why it failed when I tried to specify a letter I was already "using" for a drive. :-P Well, have a good one, and don't mind this post. ;-)

My Uniform server directory is located on D:\Progz\Uni1 - so Server_Start.bat will try to launch from C: when I double-click it... and won't work. I've installed v3.5 (from the .exe) on my win98SE system but I just can't get it to work properly. First, I had to modify config.sys to increase the environment space. Hey! I has (as other people) problem with loading my sites in localhost. I have deleted all the files and folders (not .htaccess ) in W:\www\ . Then I created a new index.php with the simple code: <?php echo "TEST"; ?> I also created a new folder: test I started UniformServer with double clicking the " Server_Start.bat ". This whole USB stick is a brand new thing for me, so please bear with me. After getting the basics from you all here a couple of weeks ago, I finally got down to putting it all together, and thanks to the forums and the uniCenter, I was able to get it running, on both my desktop and laptop, for a couple of my dev sites. Hi, I just started with Uniform Server and I just love the portability. There is just one little thing I can't get to work. And that is the Virtual host. I used virtual host before on linux so i figured this would be a breeze. But somehow apache only uses the first virtual host entry. To make is easy i'm using 'test' as alias. I have Windows XP Media Center Edition. I've downloaded Univorm Server 3.4 (which, by the way, is a fabulous piece of software!). and I can't get it to work. I get the message "It Works!" with just http://localhost, but 404 file not found with apanel. I've tried using the DiskStart VP script, and it asks me if I want to Start MySQL. I say yes, and it seems ro run ok. But, nothin works after that. I don't believe IIS is (or can be) installed on Media Center Edition. I don't have Skype. Any other ideas? Thanks ... Ken

Uniform Server works fine with Admin and standard user accounts, but not when the user is a restricted user. Strangely the Subst drive (W:) works as the software starts and opens the redirect page. Then, for some reason I cannot figure out, the W: drive unmounts itself. This only happens when the user is a restricted user, never as Admin or Std users! Any ideas? I need to be able to deploy this for use by restricted users! Is same whether I use the Start.bat file or the UniController OS is W2k Will check to see if XP is the same. cheers Biz

Hi everyone, I've always like the concept behind PEAR and have tried several times in the past to install it, but have never had any success. Ok I am using UniForm Server 3.4 For some reason all other forum software works fine but SMF simple machines wont work T_T What exactly does this mean? I'm confused lol. Please inform your host that the session.save_path specified in php.ini is not valid! It needs to be changed to a directory that exists, and is writable by the user PHP is running under.

I am trying to load the Uniform Server on windows XP Home. I don't have Skype or IIS installed. I extracted the files from the zip file onto my USB drive, run the Server_start.bat file the command prompt pops up momentarily and then nothing happens. In previous versions you would be redirected to the apanel when starting up the server. Don't know it it's intentional, but this doesn't happen in 3.4. In \udrive\home\admin\www\redirect.html i had to add apanel to the redirection:
