Hello, I have been trying to move Uniform Server from one computer to another and I can't seem to get it right. I turned on live where i have it now and it works fine but moving it would not work. Is there a tutorial that I can refer to in moving the Uniform Server? I searched and couldn't find anything. I thought I seen one on how and what to convert to absolute paths and not relative paths, but not sure... Can anyone help? Thanks!

hello, I installed Uniform Server, and finally got WordPress working... That works perfectly, thanks to all who helped me there... Question. I actually host 2 live domains from my server. I do see how to setup virtual hosts within Uniform Server...but currently I have just Apache and I have the domains on different htdocs locations on my server: example: //server/web1/htdocs and //server/web2/htdocs I also have my log files seperated. How can I install wordpress for each domain? Currently I understand that I setup in www/word…

hello, I am trying to install wordpress... I followed the instructions exactly like the Wiki page and all I get is that it can't logon to the dB, the server may not be running, ect. I did change all my passwords in the beginning to make it secure... I added a dB called wordpress made sure the user was: root pass: root host: localhost I do use the link: http://localhost/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php I also added a user and password and changed the wp-config.php to match. Still same as above: can't logon to dB, ect. What should I do? I am using Vista (32bit) just for testing before I go into production. Has anyone had any similar problems? I searched …

I'm attempting to move from 4.3(Mona) on Windows XP to 5.6.7(Nano) on Windows7 but I've run into a few snags. The first one was the "LOCALHOST" not working for MYSQL bug which has been reported here before - replacing references to "LOCALHOST" with "127.0.0.1" works fine. The next problem relates to using CURL in PHP. It seems there's no DNS resolution for CURL so it cannot connect to any external websites by name - only by IP. I suspect these issues are related - something in W7 is blocking access to DNS resolution in some way?? All I've tried thusfar is disabling the Windows Firewall and that makes no difference so I'm open to suggestions.

Hi Is there a way to automatically stop ( and exit) Uniserver when the browser is closed? This is for demo'ing stuff, and the server doesn't need to be running after the browser is exited.

I use UniServer 5.6.6. Everything works fine with Windows XP. But on Windows 2003, the Apache Server can not be started either by Start UniServer or Install Service. MySQL can be started without any problem. On widows 2003, I disabled IIS and tried to run Start.exe as Administrator, and also checked that no other processes us port 80, and still I have no luck. Thanks for you help.

I generated a key accepting defaults (localhost) and I commented out the localhost restrictions in the .httaccess file in /SSL off of the root. I can now get into apanel via ssl but not the joomla directory. I get a "The requested URL /joomla was not found on this server" error in the browser. Do I need to generate a key for localhost/joomla instead of, or in addition to, localhost? thx!

Hi  , I manage to configure the tray menu by commenting out some line in unicon/tray_menu/UniTray1.ini so that it only has: - start UniServer - stop Univserver - exit Is it safe to do so? any better way? The reason I do it is because I do not want my client to have access to all the admin configuration and mess up everything. But now I discover that they can go to localhost/apanel to get to the admin page. My next question is.... how to delete the admin page completely (including phpmyadmin) ? I mean to take it out of the uniserver completely after I have set everything correctly. Thanks, Erik

Hey, Doctrine2 (www.doctrine-project.org), a nice PHP ORM, uses phpdoc reflection for determining table metadata. When working against cached versions of the entities classes, the scripts fail because I believe their phpdoc comments are stripped when the class is cached. I've read there is a compile time switch that would prevent eaccelerator from stripping those comments. It could be useful now, when more and more projects start using this type of reflection. Any chance this could make it into a next version or at least a plugin? Also, the shared memory caching of eAccelerator doesn't seem enabled (eaccelerator_get function undefined). This would force us using a d…

Good day! I downloaded UniServer after several attempts to run XAMPP on production site. It appears that there is really a lot to change there, so i take a look for a easier way. But there is no mailserver in UniServer included. So my question is: how can I run Mercury Mail with UniServer? Can i somehow add it from xampp like a plugin or something? Or just run as stand-alone? Is msmtp compactible with Mercury Mail or should i grab sendmail from xampp?
