I recently downloaded the 5_2 Uniserver, and updated phpMyAdmin to 3.2.2.1 and tried to update MySQL to 5.1.40 after reading through some of the upgrading posts on here. I thought I had it all set up right, but now everytime I go to phpMyAdmin, the Apache server crashes. Here's the error: [notice] EACCELERATOR(1632): PHP crashed on opline 5 of mysqli_fetch_array() at D:\UniServer\home\admin\www\phpMyAdmin\libraries\dbi\mysqli.dbi.lib.php:233 Any ideas?

Greetings, I am hoping to use uniformserver with my class of 23 grade 11 Computer Science students to teach them the basics of Web servers/php/mysql/apache... On their machines, the XP command prompt is disabled by Group Policy. I was hoping to use the MySQL terminal but it does not come bundled with UniformServer. Is there a way to get MySQL terminal working quickly with UniformServer? I know phpmyadmin is fabulous, but I really want my students to get an understanding of things from the command prompt...

  3. Hi there, I used to have Xcart working with an older version of Uniform server (i forget which older version now...sorry) The install of Xcart goes fine until a point where its creating tables. It always bombs out at the same table. I was wondering has anyone got the latest builds working with Xcart 4.2.2? Im not sure what other information is needed other than in running windows 7 64 bit and have tried it on that and on a virtual XP machine as well.

  4. These problems originally occurred using Uniform Server 4.3. I updated to version 5.1 and the problems still existed. I created a procedure in MySQL to retrieve data from a table. When I called the procedure, I got the following error message; Error Code : 1436 Thread stack overrun: 6436 bytes used of a 131072 byte stack, and 128000 bytes needed. Use 'mysqld -O thread_stack=#' to specify a bigger stack. I also created a function to multiply two numbers. When used, I received the following message; Error Code : 1436 Thread stack overrun: 9124 bytes used of a 131072 byte stack, and 128000 bytes needed. Use 'mysqld -O thread_stack=#' to specify a bigger stack. …

I've been using Uniform Server off and on for a number of months quite successfully. Previously I had Mysql Administrator installed and it worked normally. I have recently been forced to wipe and reinstall windows. Since windows has been re-installed I tried to re-install Mysql Administrator but this time get an error msg when launched. Error msg reads: "Either the server service or configuration file could not be found. Startup variables and service section are therefore disable." I'm running XP sp3. The service pack was not installed when it worked previously so I don't know if that could be causing the problem. My dad also uses Uniform Server on a Windows 2000 sys…

  11. I have downloaded and unzipped Uniform Server 3.5 I have changed nothing. When I run Server_Start.bat everything appears to work perfectly with the exception of MySQL. If I click on phpMyAdmin from the admin panel, I get this: If I attempt to change the MySQL password via the admin panel, I get this: I cannot login via command line with "W:\usr\local\mysql\bin\mysql -uroot -proot" because I get the following: I'm at a loss as to how I can get MySQL working. I have no competing installation of MySQL on my box. This is a completely fresh copy of Uniform Server, out of the box. my 'mysql_password' file says 'root' in it. It appears that's what the system…

Hi, First post, this one. I know, a lot of people do first-posts asking questions and never return to read the answer or bother thanking people for their efforts. They suck, and I am not one of them, worry not. So if anyone has any multi-paragraph nuggets of awesome to share with me, your efforts really will be appreciated. Anyway, I'm writing this because the forum on my website is ill, and I cannot work out what is wrong with it. Here's the link to an affected page - http://www.yourlost.co.uk/forum/index.php?...amp;msg=10772.1 Now, I'm not sure whether this will load for you quickly the first time and quickly each time thereafter, or will load after an epic-lon…

I find it difficult to locate what I need on the Uniform Server Web site. Are there any manuals on this site? I'm getting a syntax error and I don't know where on this site to find documentation/manual to solve the problem. The error says: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'platform varchar(10)' The code I'm typing in at the mysql prompt is: create table languages ( language_id int unsigned not null auto_increment primary key, name varchar(10), platform varchar(10) ); thanks.

I'm following a tutorial to learn PHP. The tutorial is assuming individual installation of PHP, MySQL, and Apache.--not The Uniform Server. The tutorial has an exercise which requires access to MySQL. I'm supposed to type a statement at the mysql> prompt. I can't figure out how to get to the mysql prompt. I don't see any MySQL files in the Uniform Server folder. I used the UniServer admin panel to check if MySQL is running. It is. That's all I can figure out. Any help/direction will be appreciated. Thanks.
