  2. Hi all! I just upgraded my Uniform Server from 8.0.0 to 8.5.5. When I open phpMyAdmin, I notice that a few tabs are missing, my main concern being the Privileges tab. Any idea on how I can get it back? Thanks in advance.

  3. Hi beeing a complete newbee I finally managed to set up Wordpress to work locally on my PC using The Uniform Server. Before doing so, I also created a user account on wordpress.com, enabling me to do my first blogging! (http://esp1h.wordpress.com/) Now, I would like to continue that blog locally, because where I live the internet connection occasionally is veeery slow! Can someone give me clear instructions on how to do so - sort of "for dummies" instruction?? I have tried to search the forum and the internet, and both due to the fact of the slow connection and my newbee skills, it has been very timeconsuming... Running wordpress 3.3.1 on The Uniform Server Program Coral…

Hello, I am quite new to the Uniform Server but like the tool a lot. However I am facing a strange issue with access rights in phpMyAdmin. I have installed the Uniform Server 8.4.0 and installed some PHP scripts, all was working fine, I was able to create DBs with phpMyAdmin link shown in the Server Windows Tool. Then after rebooting the PC and restarting the Uniform Server I saw a strange error in phpMyAdmin that I have no Privileges to create Databases or create Tables. The user shown is root@localhost I was able to repeat same issue with with a new installation of the Uniform server. Please do you have any idea how I have full privileges again? Thanks Lindi

Hi all, I just upgraded from Coral 8.0.0 to Coral 8.1.1 and noticed this when viewing databases having tables with multiple prefixes: As you can see the table names are missing in the phpMyAdmin menu. The main window is fine, just this left hand frame.

I have just set up a VPN connection to the computer running Uniform Server 7.0 on Windows 7. While remotely connected through the VPN tunnel, I am able to access the web pages hosted locally on the Uniform Server by entering the local computer's IP address. However I am unable to connect to the phpadmin console because I am getting a 403 Forbidden error message from my browsers (I have tried Firefox, Chrome and Opera). Is there a permissions/authentication setting that I am missing? Or how should I go about connecting to mySQL through the VPN tunnel? Thanks for any advice, Devo

  8. Hello, I have had other severs installed before; WAMP, XAMPP, Vertrigo (Best Server I've ran so far, by the way), and a few others just for curiosity sake. However, after installing Uniform Server, I can't seem to access phpmyadmin at all! I don't get an error message, I can't even change the password from within the Admin Panel. It just won't connect at all! Now, I have seen a few other posts where you guys have made mention about a LIBMYSQL.dll file. Should I be worried if I found one? There is one on my system. Does Uniform Server need this file, or should I get rid of it? Let me know anything you can, Chris Hawkins

Am getting fatal error: Call to undefined function() in D:/UniServer/www/getSilver.php on line 9 Checked phpinfo in Admin panel and it tells me Configuration File (php.ini) Path = C:\WINDOWS Loaded Configuration File = D:\UniServer\usr\local\php\php.ini Hints from web searches indicate that I should change the file path to the D:\UniServer\usr\local\php\php.ini To stop this error. I am using UniServer Orion 7.1.3 and the PHP configuration link dosen't provide a path to php.ini change? Not even sure that it would work

Not sure but when I run Apache and Msql as programs in D: Then enter http localhost/index.html in the next tab I get My Index page but no errors showup. When I CLICK on the index.html file in D:/UniServer/www it opens and reports errors. I'm wondering how or if I should turn it on? The error that shows up when I use the click method on the index.html after I click one of it's links is 'Access Denied' but I'm not getting the error when I enter the page through the localhost browser input. The link addevent onclick runs two functions, one that changes the logo image and another that makes a sql call to a database and table that I have in mysql. The logo changes but no db in…

Hi, I'm running Windows 7 64bit. I couldn't get Orion 7.0.2 to work but 5.7.5-Nano seems to start fine. I can view a simple local website on my computer using localhost. However, I can't seem to start up phpMyAdmin. I get the Access Denied page with MySQL said: Documentation #2002 - The server is not responding (or the local MySQL server's socket is not correctly configured) Connection for controluser as defined in your configuration failed. I found somewhere about changing the phpmyadmin config file from 127.0.0.1 to localhost, but that didn't work. In the apache error log file it says [Tue May 10 22:35:17 2011] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] File does not ex…

I installed Orion 7.0.6 on an XP VM running under Virtual box, and it all worked just fine - still does. Then I moved the whole /UniServer/ directory and all its contents onto a Small Business 2008 server - and Apache is serving my content, and php is being processed correctly, so my application works fine. But the admin functions and phpmyadmin all give a 403 error. (When run on the main console and when run via LogMeIn). Can someone guess what is wrong, or point me in the right direction to discover the problem? Thanks Ian

Scenario: I just booted my new PC, got into Windows 7, downloaded and extracted UniServer Nano (to a path with no spaces), and I want phpMyAdmin to work when I click on it from the system tray blue box. Question: what must I do for phpMyAdmin to work? If this is answered somewhere else, I'd appreciate knowing where.

  17. Version: UniServer 5.6.13 OS: Windows7 After finally getting UniServer working on my machine, I click on the control panel to find no phpMyAdmin. I click on the UStandard window to find phpMyAdmin. I start the service, but I receive an error. The error is below. #2002 - The server is not responding (or the local MySQL server's socket is not correctly configured) Connection for controluser as defined in your configuration failed. I am not sure what this means, do I need to download phpMyAdmin and install it?

I was upgrading uniform server from 5.6.7 to 5.6.14. Some how I lost file associations. System asked to find application to run index.php. I selected php.exe. I realized this was a mistake. launching phpmyadmin results in following error: C:\Users\LarryL\AppData\Local\Temp\XijEuRqh-1.part could not be opened, because the associated helper application does not exist. Change the association in your preferences. admin panel also does not run. When checking server status, apache will not start. removing unform server and reinstalling it does not resolve issue.

So I switched over from xampp to the uniform server because I was having problems with xampp running a few of my scripts. The switch was successful in that the uniform server runs those problem scripts with no problem. My issue is that I'm trying to convert all of my local stuff over to tus and some of it uses mysql databases. I was able to import my databases via phpmyadmin no problem but when I try to run my scripts I can't because of a password issue with the user root. If I go to phpmyadmin and change user root's pw to "no password" in the "privileges" tab the problem is solved and the scripts sends data to mysql... but a larger problem is created. I can no longe…

I have been looking for a few days now as to why the uniform server is not allowing me to connect to phpmyadmin. I have tried everything to changing ports to googling and looking through this forum for the answer. everytime I try to connect to phpmyadmin using uniform server 5.6.14-nano I get the same messages, both follow. Connection for controluser as defined in your configuration failed. phpMyAdmin tried to connect to the MySQL server, and the server rejected the connection. You should check the host, username and password in your configuration and make sure that they correspond to the information given by the administrator of the MySQL server. Any help at this…

  21. Hello. Right now, it is like: You enter phpmyadmin But before you get to phpmyadmin, you have to authenticate yourself by writing the apanel username and password. What if I want my users to access phpmyadmin without granting them access to apanel? Perhaps a document needs some modification, but I am not a pro with these things. dir to apanel (i think) /home/admin/www/ dir to phpmyadmin /home/admin/www/phpmyadmin

  23. I am teaching a class on CMS at the local college, and all 13 students have been using Uniform Server 5.0 with their joomla installations. Thanks for sharing such a great product!! Here is my issue. For two of the students, phpMyAdmin has "stopped working". Not sure why the errors...lots of troubleshooting but no resolution. All they need to do at this point in the class is to export their database, so they can import it to a live web server account. Do due the short time we have left to work on this particular project, I am looking for the fastest way to extract their database tables, so we can get their live web server accounts finished. Can you tell me where thos…
