I assume this is done to either check who/what IP installed Unisform Server ZeroXI OR to check if updates for the installted modules are available. Since the installed modules can be updated and selected individuallym the purpose of the portable install, I assume this is to give information about the user's IP. http://ip-lookup.net/index.php did not reap any results for 185.59.220.38! When installing WordPress during the second step of the installation msmtp.exe is trying to connect to IP 62.24.202.72 on Port 25 this being tiscali.co.uk. What does tiscali.co.uk have to do with my local WordPress development environment and installation process please?

Hi folks, For some reason, Uniservice.exe does not run the service with LDAP enabled. Meanwhile, its' brother UniController.exe can start Apache with LDAP enabled. The same machine had apache2triad running as a 24/7 server and had php previously installed. I have tried with switching the configuration files and UniService does follow UniController's configurations for php_production.ini and php_development.ini. However, Uniservice does not follow if UniController is configured for php 5.4 (we require php 5.6 and was only done for testing). Any insight on this issue could help. Thanks in advance.

I want to use UniformServer as a development environment. Securing mysql-access with a password for the root user is not an issue here. So I configured the root user to have an empty password. Every time I start UniController.exe, it prompts me to set a mysql root password, and does not allow an empty password. I don't understand why the UI application must enforce this. Can this behavior be changed?

Hello, I am new to trying to troubleshoot the server as I didn't set it up and it never had any problems until now. I am getting an error and it will not let me connect through Dreamweaver and I am attaching the file of the error. We are on the 3.5-Apollo Server. I'm not sure what other information you need. Downloaded the 11_7_6_ZeroXI.exe and when I try to extract it comes with this error

Hi, I have just complete my set up at home, which is UniformServer installed on my external hard drive. My external hard drive is connected to my router via my CiragoLink NAS adapter. Within my www folder I have my WordPress website files, but when I go to localhost/mywebsite the WordPress dashboard takes a while to load (20 seconds). Even basic navigation through my site is slow and its a fresh install. Any ideas on how I can speed this up? Many thanks

Cant get Uniform Server Zero XI to run in windows 8 When I double click on UniController icon the first thing I get is this error. Then I click "OK" the window goes away and the blue Uniform Server is no place to be found. I double click on the UniController icon again and I get a error message that its already running, go into task manager and find it just cant find the icon to get to the controller. Suggestions? I have no clue what else on this PC is using port 443. How do you check to see what ports on your PC are in use and by what program, also how do you change the default port 443 to something that is not in use in Uniserver? Thanks in advance.

Just downloaded unpacked Uniserver 8.9.2 double click on Start_as_program when it starts I get a error about port 443 being in use. Where do I go from here I need step by step instructions to change it to another port or locate what other program on my computer could possibly be using port 443. Thanks in advance.

Is it possible to install PHPBB 3.1 on the phpBB3 MiniServer. I downloaded and run the phpBB3 MiniServer works perfect great idea love it, then I got the idea hey just download the latest version of the PHPBB 3.1 and install it on the already running MiniServer. So I did, I unzipped the phpbb 3.1 to C:\mini_server_17_phpbb\udrive\www\phpBB31 then called up the Install process by typing in http://localhost:8097/phpbb31/install/ in the browser where I was met by error Ok how do I gain permissions to install Thanks.

Dear all, according this old topic (12 month ago) there was a possibility to have UniController(and the rest of tools) translated into various languages with help of .po files. Special versions of Uniform Server were created and stored in DEV folder. Now there is no version published in DEV and the functionality is not incorporated in the "main" version. Are there any plans to give it back?

Hi. I have set up all the files for the uniform server in a folder at Google Drive. Then I have made a local directory at: C:\websites\amlocalThe amlocal folder is a symbolic link to the Google Drive folder. It all works well and have some great advantages. All my local files are backed up in the cloud. I can access the same uniform server installation on more than one PC just by installing Google Drive and creating a symbolic link to the Google Drive folder with all the Uniform Server files.It works very well on the PC where I initially made the setup. Dear Team, In am running a 24/7 monitoring system based on PHP, I was asked to make minimum downtime. So i need your advise. I have a 4 servers and 1 storage. All servers are in Vsphere cluster. So if one goes down active node takes up to 3 min to start. I want to have 0 downtime. Besides the hardware cluster i want to create a software: Apache and MYSQL cluster. I have setup Uniform Server Zero XI on a windows server to run an online application 24/7. Each time the server restarts I have to login for Uniform Server to start. Once login happens it automatically start but I would like it to start without having to login. Does anybody have any solutions for this? Thank you

I have been meaning to do some testing on this issue since I first noticed it 'way back' and have just now done so. The main reason for wanting to get a resolution to this now is because I am putting together some YouTube tutorials on installing WordPress locally and so want to use Uniform Server, but I am having a difficult time deciding to do so with the current situation. Currently I run a production server on xampp with no real problems. I ran into a thread that mentioned your software so I wanted to see if I could use it as a usb alternative. That said, I am having difficulty getting uzoro to connect my site to the wan. My Setup: I have a fqdn and a port 81 noip redirect with noip. In Basic Apache Config (BAC) I have added my registered domain name to Server name. I have also installed wordpress into the www folder, created the database and WP install. This allows me to login as www.mydomain-name.com through localhost. I need to connect through port 81 so I change the listen port in BAC to 81 and when I do this I lose connection …

I recently got UniServer configured as a public server with dynamic DNS redirection to an alternate port with the help of AlleyKat. My computer is connected directly to the internet but my ISP happens to block port 80. After tweaking some files and getting it working perfectly, I decided it was time to post the information. Two assumptions will be made here. One: the computer this is being configured on has an internet IP address, which means you are not behind a NAT/router. (Uniserver Zero XI - 11.5.0) I would like to delete certain folders inside www with the "Clean-Up delete logs" option. I've already included them inside the config file under folders. Am using a CMS that automatically creates about 3-4 temporary files in one folder. 1 folder creates about 2,200 cache files at one go. Any way of allowing this? Thanks.
