Hi, I have a problem with database exports that are gz compressed since upgrading to Uniform Server 5.1. They cannot be imported into the same or a different database. The uncompressed or zipped exports both work fine. The error message contains loads of gibberish - I tried posting it, but that didn't work... Patricia

I hope I am in the correct section for this request. A search on discussion threads using 'echo not working' (and variations of) yielded nothing that can help me. I have been having some trouble with some complex php pages. Just in case I was over complicating things I decided to go back to basics and do some beginners tutorials and found a very annoying problem: echo is not working locally. The tutorial starts with a simple helloworld.php page and when run locally there is no 'Hello World' displayed on the page. However, when the page is uploaded to a host server the echo works just fine and 'Hello World' is displayed. Therefore I know there is nothing wrong with the fil…

Hello guys... Thanks for Uniform Server, it's great! Probably a simple question. Can you tell me how to change the max import size on phpmyadmin? Default seems to be: Max: 10,240KiB Thanks for any help you can offer. ***EDIT*** I read the documentation here: http://www.phpmyadmin.net/documentation/Do...on.html#faq1_16 and they suggest editing some PHP setting and restarting services. I tried that with no luck, but did have success with a PHP script called BigDump. Problem solved. Thanks!

I'm using uniformserver 3.4 I tried to start my webserver with Server_Start.bat and clicking on Run MySQL from the Apanel I even tried to start it with the vb script "Disk Start" I tried to put directly my password in config.inc.php $cfg['Servers'][$i]['password'] = '****'; I followed the security check tutorial: http://center.uniformserver.com/uniserver/...check_list.html Oh yeah I tried a few time to work with fresh install of uniformserver 3.4 and I was always restarting the serv…

Hi! I use Uniform Server 3.5. The phpMyAdmin-Version is at default in english. I want to install german-utf-8.inc.php and copied the file in "home\admin\www\phpMyAdmin\lang" but i cant choose an other language than english. Then I tried to edit the config.inc.php in "home\admin\www\phpMyAdmin" and set the language to // Default language to use, if not browser-defined or user-defined $cfg['DefaultLang'] = 'de-utf-8'; But i still can't choose an other language and the default is still english. What can I do? Thank you for answering.

Hi! I use Uniform Server 3.5 on WinXP SP2 Professional. I started my server and visited "localhost/apanel/". I've downloaded the uniform server version 3.5. It works great on my xp home edition OS. Now I wanted to use the php 4 plugin. Since it is my understanding that I can't have 2 versions of php running on the same machine, I've downloaded the php4 plugin, deleted all the files and folders under my already installed C:\Uniform Server\udrive\usr\local\php folder, copied the exracted files and folders from the downloaded plugin into that same folder (i.e, C:\Uniform Server\udrive\usr\local\php). I've also changed the LoadModule php5_module "/usr/local/php/php5apache2.dll" line in the httpd.conf file located in C:\Uniform Server\udrive\usr\local\apache2\conf into LoadModule php…

For information - I am interested to see if anyone else has had a similar experience, and also to see if it is a W2K only problem. These issues have been noted over the last 11 days of constant use. Non Standard elements I have added shortcuts from the desktop to Server.Start.bat and Stop.bat and UniServe is configured for AuthUser. Issue 1 - Consistently occurs Following the machine boot, the admin panel frequently does not load, instead you get "The page cannot be displayed". If you resubmit the page the Logon Dialog Panel appears and APanel loads OK. On the second and subsequent UniServe start / stop cycles following OS reboot everything works fine. …

I'm unable to run phpMyAdmin in a NEWLY INSTALLED COPY of Uniform Server 3.5 (Apollo) under Win XP. No other changes to the installed code, no website yet in the www folder and no user data. I get an "access denied" error through Firefox and a message window that says the following --------- Welcome to phpMyAdmin 2.10.2 Error MySQL said: ? #2003 - Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061) --------- From reading messages on the US message forum, I have tried the following: 1) Fresh install from latest download of US3.5 zip file and/or the .exe file. 2) Checked for previous versions of Uniform Server and for MySQL/Apache. I went through the tutorial on how to change the mysql password in the DB and in the password file and did this but it gives me an access denied page when starting phpmyadmin (I restarted the servers). Now, I replaced the mysql database files and changed the password file back to where it was to no avail. Then I downloaded a fresh copy of UniServer 3.5 and am using it exclusively and still cannot get into phpmyadmin and I have changed nothing. (Restarted computer and server) Can someone please help? I have also noticed the weird bug about the url having all lowercase letters in it. It seemed to work one time with lowercase then doesn't work at all. Thanks

First time running phpMyBackupPro v.2.1 on the Start page I get the following. Choose in the top menu what you want to do next! If this is your first time using phpMyBackupPro you should start with the configuration! The rights of the directory 'export' and the file 'global_conf.php' must be set to 0777. I am running Windows XP Home. Exactly what are they talking about set to 0777? Pretty sure they're talking about file attributes, but not sure what the 0777 means. Any suggestions? Aside from running linux that is. It's somewhat difficult to install on Acer Aspires, screwy acpi bios junk involved.

Hi y'all, I'm trying to install phpbb2 to my 3.4 server, but the script fell over part way through. That's not the problem (well not yet anyway!). I thought I'd reset everything by dropping the database I had created and starting again, but I found that I can't drop the database! I can't drop any tables either! Looking at the privelages, user 'root' does not have drop rights. But as there isn't any other user on the system that can, I don't see how I can ever drop anything. Is this a MySQL issue or UniServer? Anyone know? Cheers, Paul.

Hi all. I've got kind of an odd issue with phpMyadmin that I haven't been able to figure out. After starting up uniform server and trying to access phpMyadmin using firefox I receive nothing but a blank screen. If I try loading it in IE however, phpMyadmin loads up just fine. The odd thing to me is that in firefox if I choose the view source code option from the menu bar, I can see the source code listed there for the web page and it looks exactly the same as the view source code option in IE. Has anyone else run across this before? I've checked to make sure that I didn't have any options turned off in firefox (i.e. javascript stuff and the like) but so far all the…

Hello, i've seen many topics similar to this, but none of them are exactly what my problems are, which is why i started a new topic. Everytime i go to phpMyAdmin, i'm told access is denied. Do i need to change any passwords/edit any files? If so could someone tell me what files to edit. Thanks a bunch ** EDIT ** Nevermind, i got it working now. For those having the same problem, i changed the file 'config.inc.php' (found in 'home/admin/www/phpMyAdmin/), line 76; Changed to $cfg['Servers'][$i]['password'] = 'WHAT_EVER_PASSWORD'. I then used the same password and edited the mysql_password file. Then i restarted MySQL and it worked fine BTW, your server kicks ass…

I know this has been discussed before and I've read every post on this forum about it, but I still cannot figure out how to make it so I can connect into phpMyAdmin. I keep getting this message everytime I try to get into phpMyAdmin: I went into W:\home\admin\www\phpMyAdmin\config.inc.php file and changed "user" to deronsizemore (which I set up initially becuase of the "security checklist" in red that I kept seeing and still see by the way...so I don't know if it ever goes away or not?) and I changed my password to xxxxx from something that said "implode....."now my password looks like this in the config.inc file: 'xxxxx'; I click on phpMyAdmin and still sam…
