I need a Expert PHP Programmer!!
olajideolaolorun replied to Lukeyc's topic in Programming & Web Design
hah.. yes.. The Mole.... Well, about the game.. i am not that advance but you can find code snippets of what u need on Google probably.. BTW: if i were to say i can help, i won't be able too cause i am very busy nowadays with school, gradution, clients, and 3 open source projects on SF.. -
First you have to get the PHP 4 Plugin to install on the 3.2 Version of Uniform Server. After you have installed the plugin, you are ready to run phpBB under PHP 4 since AlleyKat said it won't work under PHP 5. I will get AlleyKat here for you BTW: His site is in Danish, but he speaks english fluently.

How do you want the next version of Uniform Server
olajideolaolorun replied to MrX's topic in Open Discussion
Ofcourse. The .zip is a must no matter what. For those who just want a file or something from the package -
lol lmao hmm... i do not use SVN but seems like MrX tried it so he can help u further... If he can't i will try and seek more info to help you again

I don't have problems with file upload. Instead of "localhost/pics/", use "/www/pics/" "localhost/pics/" is not a real path but the url.
-
See what i said. I personally have tested all of them. From phpBB to IPB and i prefer IPB though i hate them now for backstabbing us and taking away the free version. I had to ask someone to help me buy a license for this one but no matter, if u prefer phpBB, AlleyKat will help u from head to tail. He runs the danish support site. cya.

hmm... sorry kind of forgot who u are... too many people.... and i am not good with names About the game, what is it about and what kind of game is it.. i might be able to help or not, because i am not that advance in PHP but i know enough for now . -
Fiorgot to refresh the page to see if you had replied. Wel, first do you have the mod_dav_svn loaded aklso with the mod_dav loaded? You have to have both modules loaded before it will work.
-
After posting ths last post i went to their IRC channel to go get more information. What they say is that you need the mod_dav loaded and running with Apche before you can run SVN with Apache. Here is the link they gave me: http://tortoisesvn.tigris.org/docs/TortoiseSVN_en/ch03.html I will try and read more about it and get back to you.

Though i have never tried to install subversion or tested it with the Uniform Server, i will try and give u as much suppport as i can. I believe that the problem is betweent this code: <Location /svn> DAV svn SVNParentPath D:\SVN AuthType Basic AuthName "Subversion repositories" AuthUserFile passwd #AuthzSVNaccesFile svnaccesfile <LimitExcept GET PROPFIND OPTIONS REPORT Require valid-user </LimitExcept> </Location> Is subversion started before you start Apache? Also, i do not see the plcae where the module is loaded. Try and use IfModule when you are loading the module so that you do not have any problems with Apache running. I will try and learn as much as i can to help you. Also, this may be why the server is not running: mod_dav <IfModule mod_dav.c> LoadModule dav_fs_module modules/mod_dav_fs.so LoadModule dav_svn_module modules/mod_dav_svn.so LoadModule authz_svn_module modules/mod_authz_svn.so DavLockDB /tmp/DavLock <Directory "/www/"> Dav On </Directory> </IfModule> Look at the text on top: mod_dav, you have to comment it  It is not commented in the httpd.conf file Thanks

What do you mean? If you want to create your own forum system, you can using PHP and MySQL. If you would like to install other forum systems like phpBB or IPB, yes you can do that. You can run your phpBB on the Uniform Server. All you have to do is copy all the file from your current provider to the server's and then export the database to the imported into the MySQL installtion on the Uniform Servers' If you still need help reply. If you need help with phpBB, you can also reply here and i will get a good friend of mine who runs the Danish support site fior phpBB to come and help you. Thanks

For those who voted .7z without SFX, you do know that you will be required to install 7-Zip before it can be uncompressed? The one we use now is the 7-Zip with SFX compression and Zip -

Take a look: http://www.faqts.com/knowledge_base/view.p...aid/9546/fid/51

No he is talking about embedding php into HTML... there is a way to do that using either the .html extension or .phtml Check those config files
-
Applications has been closed for now till we finish the Beta Center (around April-end). Once that is done, you will be able to sign up with the link which will be placed on the nav bar at the top of this forum when it is done. Thanks
-
Yeah, you it automatically start the server when a user logs on. I do not recommend it if you are not using the server as a production server.
-
The services plugin will not mess up windows. all you have to do if you install it is uninstall it and it will removed the services created. It does not mess with anything that deals with your computer, only adds and deletes the apache/mysql services Next version should be out by mid-april.
-
You probably need to edit the httpd.conf file or php.ini file for that. You have to add the extension along with the others....
