In both cases the result is the same. I have installed the newest version of Uniform on win 10, created some databases, tables and populated them with simple data...basically tested if everything works using simple pages. It takes about 2000ms for every page load. It seems that problem is somewhere in mysql config probably. I've tried to change entries in windows hosts file, I have switched off ipv6 on every network adapter and still nothing. I've read that skip_name_resolve position my be helpfull but I dont know how to use it. For comparison I have installed laragon and everything runs lightning fast in about 50ms.

I'm trying to enable SSL in MySQL, but having trouble with UniServer. Following the directions I find online and SSL is always still disabled. Is there a trick to it with Uniserver? I used the Generate_server_cert_and_key batch file for apache, and tried re-using those keys. I also tried creating new keys from scratch, but the openssl this comes with throws an error saying "unknown option -CAKey" which apparently is not an issue anyone on the internet has ever had :-/ Here are the lines I added the mysqld section of my.ini. I'm on a Windows 7 box and as an exercise, I am attempting to migrate a live test site from VI to V4 because I would like to be able to do this with my real site in order to be able to easily update PHP.. I have more than one version on on my drive I and need to switch back and forth to make changes in each versions Wordpress control panel to the plugins etc set up. I do this by running one and then renaming the folders (one to UniServerZ_back and the other back to UniServerZ) while doing the prep. When I start mysql , the command prompt window opens and stays open for over 5 minutes. I do not believe this to be expected behaviour. Is there a way to make the command prompt window for mysql go away. This behaviour happens on the first run of Uniform Server on the windows user when mysql is enabled. If run a second time on the windows user, or if Uniform Server is restarted, the behaviour doesn't happen.

After installing Uniform Server for the first time and opening up phpmyadmin, I see that there are 3 databases that already exist. I didn't delete them as they must be there for a reason. information_schema performance_schema phpmyadmin Why are these databases existing, and what are they for?

But one column is supposed to hold a pdf file in a longblob, and load_file always returns NULL Both trying this as an insert and as a test select is failing.
