  1. Started by cyclonebt,

I have a freshly-installed Uniserver 13.2.2 Zero XIII. I have my virtualhosts configured as follows: <VirtualHost *:80> DocumentRoot ${US_ROOTF}/../../repo/test/public ServerName 55.dev ErrorLog "${US_ROOTF}/../../logs/55.error.log" CustomLog "${US_ROOTF}/../../logs/55.access.log" common <Location /> AllowOverride all Require all granted </Location> </VirtualHost>The example above is a Laravel 5.5 app freshly installed from the CLI. It works as expected. However, the identically configured app at /repo/lt-assets/public returns a 404 error for any route requested. It is also a Laravel 5.5 app, but it was added to the server …

  2. I ran httpd_z -S on the command line and it said that ${PHP_SELECT} and ${US_ROOTF} is not defined. Because of this I cannot setup a reverse proxy. Please fix this. This problem happens with a fresh installation of Uniform Server.

  3. So I extract LimeSurvey to the "www" directory and in Chrome I get... localhost is currently unable to handle this request. HTTP ERROR 500 Maybe there's a compatibility issue I'm not seeing? (total newbie) https://manual.limesurvey.org/Installation#Browser_compatibility I made sure the .htaccess and favicon.ico stayed the same. Hoping it's an easy fix. This is a fresh install of the latest Zero_XIII You can get the .zip archive here: https://www.limesurvey.org/stable-release

  4. Hi Ric, As the subject mentions, when I am using 13.3.2 with the default PHP 7.1.1 (and even when switched to the 5.6.30 module), the images that are included with the Elementor page builder templates are not loaded into the Media Manager as they are when using XAMPP (Win 10) or MAMP (Mac). I did find out (by trial and error ) that I had to enable the php_curl.dll in order to install any themes or plugins so started going through that list of PHP extensions to see if one would "click". No luck Just to check it out, I tried doing the same thing using Zero 11.1.2 and all works as expected; the template is loaded along with the images, and the images are in the Media …

Hi all! I'm using Zero XI edition for some time now and I'm pretty happy with it. But recently while I was doing a troubleshooting with a PHP app, I have found that all the software bundled in Zero XI server (e.g. Apache, PHP...) is using the 32 bits version and not the 64 bits one. I was unable to find any 64 bits version of Zero XI server. I wonder why we don't have one. 64 bits processors are mainstream since many years now. So why using 32 bits ??

  6. Hi I've installed Uniform server successfully and can run the Server as a standalone program. For MySQL I've chosen a non-default port (3386), by changing it using the controller. And it works great - Unless I install the Uniform Server as a Service (using UniService.exe). It appears that MySQL now listens on the default port 3306 and not on the one that I've configured before. (For apache I've chosen a non-default port as well (85) but no problems here) Anyone experienced this behaviour? Your help woul be appreciated. Versions used: 12_4_1_ZeroXII.exe ZeroXII_uniservice_2_0_1.exe Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard Randy

Hi, I have one question. After setting apache and mysql to use the service instead of the unicontroller, nothing can be altered in the server without uninstalling the service and putting it back there? This is because i tried to enable the xdebug module after putting the apache service to run using windows services and to my very surprise the service failed to start. The uniservice controller interface crashed and I had to restart the same to find that the service had been uninstalled. Needless to say I had to install it back which makes me think whether if any changes to either mysql or apache after the service has been started would require a full reset of the se…

  8. Started by Nicero,

I'm developing some PHP scripts. I installed UniformZ on a portable USB HD so I can carry it from work to home and viceversa. I noticed that at home (Windows 10) I have to launch Uniform as administrator to make it work). The weird thing is that the files inside the \www folder must be opened with the Administrator priviledges too. Not only I need to run Uniform.EXE as administrator but every PHP file has to be loaded in Notepad++ as administrator. Although I don't understand why I have to run these as administrator, at least it works. The fact is that I'm working with Excel files and these have to be opened as Administrator too or better, I have to run Excel as adm…

  9. Good day everybody, This is my first post to the forum so I would like to take the occasion to thanks the developper for this fantastic product. I'm a web desginer and PHP programmer (mostly for Joomla) and I very often use UniformServer as my test/demo platform (I'm on Windows 8.1 right now). Everything is working perfectly but I have an issue when upgarding UniformServer from one version to the newest one. Maybe I missed some important piece of information and/or FAQ and I hope you'll forgive me if this is the case. The problem is that when I upgrade (overwriting the old installation) I loose my Apache vhosts configuration and my MySQL users (I use different users…

  10. On previous versions of the Uniform Server, I have had no problem installing and upgrading a package called WHMCS that uses PHP and MySQL. After installing UniServer Zero Version 12.2, I cannot get WHMCS to install/upgrade. It has permission problems. Here is one example of an error that I received: Unable to complete incremental updates: Unable to import the 3.6.2 database file. Unable to import C:\UniServerZ\www\TestServer\events\whmcs\resources\sql\upgrade362.sql: Error on rename of '.\reunions_whmcs\#sql-2f44_3d.frm' to '.\reunions_whmcs\tblaccounts.frm' (Errcode: 13 - Permission denied). Hi! Just did a fresh install of Uniserver Zero XII in a clear folder and all the MySQL Utilities buttons are disabled including the button to launch phpmyadmin. Any idea on how to fix this? I'm missing something to do after installation? It worked fine for me when installed previous versions. Regards.

  12. Hello everybody, I am looking for a software to turn a PC - desktop almoust NEW/UNused but older: H.P.-Compaq Dual Core2 Duo - 2x2.6Ghz, 500 GB + 640 GB hard drive *or* 640 GB + 640 GB hard drive, 5 GB Ram, ATI Radeon 256 MB into a server. Q1: - Hardware specs. sufficient??? The main reason is because it has OEM Licensed (Sticker) Original Windows XP Profesional and OEM upgraded to SP3. It was fresh installed with drivers month ago... Besides Windows XP Prof. SP3 is a very stable and good O.S. at least by my opinion - probably the reason why NATO (the Army) is implementing it these days... I am as mentioned looking for a software to turn it into Server (will get…

  14. Hi, Long time user of Uniform server. I have recently updated to ZeroXII 12.1.0 and I noticed what is to me a confusing change. In the past the htpasswd folder was always on the root. However I now note that there is a htpasswd folder in the core folder. Upon installing any extra module the htpasswd on the root is also created. I was wondering as to why this is and which version is actually the default for the Uniform server. Is this just a bug during that occurred during the deployment. Thanks, Barry.

  15. Hi Ric, With the latest two 12.x versions of US with PHP 7.x, the Genesis child theme Dynamik Website Builder fails to activate. Works fine on all previous US versions without PHP 7.x. One of the more adept members on the DWB Forum tracked it down to adding the following to the httpd.conf file: http://cobaltapps.com/forum/forum/main-category/web-design-talk/84347-somebody-on-php-7-already-experiences-so-far?p=85053#post85053 IfModule mpm_winnt_module> ThreadStackSize 8888888 IfModule> Restart Apache after adding this to the end of the file allows DWB to activate and work normally. Perhaps this could be added to the next version of US Cheers! Lyle

I am using an aging Nano 5.6.16 version of uniform server and want to update, but it seems that the latest versions have a problme with Zone Alarm. I have the very latest version of Zone Alarm Internet Security Suite, but still get a message when I launch unicontroller warnign me about the blue screen of death and that updating to the latest version of zone alarm will solve the issue. The controller then doesn't seem to open, but the process is running Now, does the controller actually detect the version of zone alarm? In other words, is it just saying, "unless you have the latest version of ZA, you'll have trouble - if you have the latest version, you're fine." or is…

Hi I am trying to get my home web server visible on the web running from Windows 7 that is running on VirtualBox. When I try running Uniserver from the host machine (Windows 8) I have no problem seeing it on the web, I must be missing something that allows it past VirtualBox? Anybody ever run across this before? I am not sure where to start. Thanks in advance.

  18. OK, So I have Windows 7 Pro and the latest version of Uniform Server: Uniform Server_12_0_0_ZeroXII. I also have the latest version of Zone Alarm Internet Security Suite (14.1.011.000) However, if I try to launch the UniController, I get told that I am running Zone Alarm and that I may get the blue screen of death, etc ....or upgrade to the latest version of Zone Alarm....which I already have. So what gives? Why is it telling me I don't have the latest version? I am not faffing about with stopping zone alarm everytime I stop apache! Can I not use this version of uniform server then? If not, what one CAN I use? Such a shame, I have loved my ageing version of Unifor…

  19. Hello, I havent been using UNIserver in a while, and meanwhile, ive got a router and updated to Windows 10 64bit. When i try to run UniController (v1.2.0.11), i am told port 80 is in use by another program, and i am instructed to change the uni server port. But it provides no instructions as to how i would be able to do that. Kept Googling but theres nothing straight forward. I got across this page, and scanned for port 80 and it returned this: >netstat -ano | find "LISTENING" | find ":80" TCP 0.0.0.0:80 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING 4 TCP [::]:80 [::]:0 LISTENING 4Not sure what thats saying, i …

It is awesome that there is support for PHP 7. The new more modular option also looks very interesting and I look forward to trying it out. Also, thank you for having the documentation ready. I read through it and it is pretty thorough.

  21. My $_SERVER["REMOTE_ADDR"] = ::1, unless I change the bind-address in my.ini to match it, when I connect to my database (with PDO) with the hostname 'localhost' it takes ~2 seconds. When I change bind-address to '::1' or '::', the time to connect with mysql becomes negligible. However, when I try to 'stop MySQL', it hangs and eventually I get this error and I have to kill the process. It appears my.ini doesn't handle ipv6 addresses well. Is there any way to fix this? if not, please fix this in a later build. I loves this software, I've struggled with XAMPP and WAMP in the past, but this is far superior IMO.

I'm a newbie. Have installed UniformServer on Windows10. The test pages loaded OK. I then copied my website to the www folder. There is no index.html or index.php in the root folder - but there are various html and php files in sub folders. When I use "View www" and navigate to open any of these files, none of them open. I just get an empty screen. What am I doing wrong please?

  23. Hi there, the problem I am running into with my uniform server is the following: When I click 'Start Apache' & 'Start MySQL' and check "Server Status", the following image is what is seen. Image Link: http://i.imgur.com/lpP7ShX.png If you take a look at the image, it indicates not only is it not able to identify my IP address, but as well as not being available to access the internet. Yes - My port 80 is forwarded. Yes - My .htaccess is configured. - Image Link: http://i.imgur.com/nhPP9Qq.png (Let me know if anything needs to be changed / adjusted) Yes - My firewall is not even remotely on, or blocking literally anything. Hi, I'm running a laptop with Windows 7 64 bit. After downloading the self extracting archive and confirming that the file was correct using the md5 hash, I was able to extract the 'UniServerZ' folder to 'C:\UniServerZ'. Now, after extracting when I start 'UniController.exe' it shows me an error saying port 80 is is use (IIS) and I click ok. Nothing happens after this at all, not even in 1 hour! The process never dies but there is not prompt for the mysql password nor is there any system tray icon. Appreciate the help! Cheers, XFS

I have Uniserver Zero starting with windows but have run into the following problem. When logging into any user on the machine, I now get the "An instance of unicontroller is already running" error every time. It is running somewhere, however I cannot find the instance. There is no icon in the windows bar. It nor the apache/mysql services show up in the windows services list. They are active as I can access the site though. I also can't open the controller to do anything since it's "already running" somewhere and I can't access that controller. I suspect this is because it was setup initially under one user, and now the machine is logged into a different (but still …
