I have modified the User rights for root (see the Pinned post)... root has ALL PRIVILEGES now. But, I still can not delete any database? What is wrong yet? #1044 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' to database 'dbname' EDIT Problem solved. I had to restart the MySQL server in order him to accept the changes. Now it's ok.

Windows Vista 32bit , latest .exe of UniServer I just downloaded and installed UniServer and get this error when I click on phpMyAdmin in apanel: "#2003 - Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061)" I've checked and double checked the various passwords. If I click on phpMyBackupPro it opens but displays this error on the Start page: "MySQL data is not correct!" This _may_ be some kind of Vista only problem. I had WampServer installed initially and had mySQL working fine, then something happened and I ended up with that same error listed above. I am new to everything:) I recently installed uniserver 3.3 and wordpress 2.2. I got everything working. I zipped my entire directory and moved it to another drive (I also moved it to a different computer). I unzipped it and the servers started up fine. I went to phpMyAdmin, verified that my wordpress database was there with its default tables. But when I go to database->wordpress->browse->edit, I get this message: #1 - Can't create/write to file '\tmp\#sql_11ac_0.MYI' (Errcode: 2) This message also appears on my wordpress default front page where the data from the tables is supposed to show. I have a 3MB size dumb.sql file I assume this dumb was created not by PhpMyAdmin. How can I import this to one of my db?

I am having problem with the set up in my local machine . I am doing this so that I can test some php script. I am using Windows XP home with Uniserver to test the PHP code. I am using phpmyadmin to adminstor the sql server. I created a new database and an user using phpadmin . I have added all the required tables for the script as well. Now the problem is the script can read the database but can't insert. In the database mysql, user table, i had to to change the field Drop_priv for user root from N to Y in order to get rid of error message: Seems that N is a wrong default setting for this field?

Hey, long time no bugging. Anyways, more serious note, I lost every single one of my custom databases today. I was in the middle of working on my newest website, I had just started the other day, and got very far, but I hadn't had a chance to back-up the database yet. I am hoping to be able to use the Uniform Server to build a home based server. I have developed a suit of programs using php 4.2.2 and mysql 3.23.51, running on Apache 1.3.27. I am not using the mysqli improved extensions and I understand that with mysql 5 I should. Therefore is there a version of Uniserver that use Mysql 4 or will my programs work with 5. I am aware that 4.1 altered the pasword aspects which I can address. Any advice would be appreciated. Fido

I find that MySQL wants to search the boot drive (usually C:/windows or C:/winnt) to find the my.ini or my.conf files. If I want to boot from a USB flash drive, on a system where the C: drive is blocked for security purposes ( for instance a public library computer system or a thin client which boots from the network server and has no local C: drive...), I would like to have MySQL search the installation volume (such as the flash drive), in addition to or in exchange for the system boot drive. Hi, I am using the latest uniform server with MySQL 5.1 and want to use stored procedures in my databases. But when i try to execute CREATE PROCEDURE questions in phpMyAdmin's SQL window i get an error message saying that the table mysql.proc does not exist. That's true when i check the mysql database, but my question now is: are procedures not available in uniform server? I would really like to use the advantages with procedures (and maybe triggers also), can i do something to get it to work? Regards, Christoffer

Hokay, I've looked through the other post on people having this problem and I was not able to find a solution. When I click "Run MySQL" in the apanel, it says: However, when I click phpMyAdmin, I get this error: There are no LIBMYSQL.DLL files on my PC either (I seen that in some of the old posts) And when I try to run mysqlrun.bat from the Command Prompt, I get this error: Can someone please help me? My installation was 100%. The server is running fine but when I try to load x-cart (fresh install) in my local pc I got this message. Step 3: Preparing to install X-Cart database Fatal error: Can't connect to the MySQL server. Press 'BACK' button and check database info again. Please correct the error(s) before proceeding to the next step. I create a new database in phpMyAdmin, and I am using the same info to run x-cart. Any ideas why I am getting this message? When I start Uniform Server with the Start.vbs it does come up with the drive choice window, w, then an open MYQL request, when I say yes I get the following error window and it does not open a browser i have to do that manually and type in the localhost/apanel error window says: Script Execution Error Line 27 column 0 Microsoft VBScript runtime error object doesn't support this property or method 'Wscript.sleep' I am completely new to this and just need it all for a test server for dreamweaver.
