  1. Do you use Skype?
  2. To make it open in the new port, edit Server_Start.bat and chnage the address. To make things work, that was a mistake, it should say: /home/admin/www/includes/secure.pm, but if you want to disable it, go to the config.inc.php file instead in the includes folder.... That is the best way.
  3. There is no need to configure the Admin Panel for Port 8080 anymore. It should work regardless... and you could have just changed Skype's Port instead. Next time, listen even though i still dont think you read anything.... but hey... hmm. the next version of UniController might check the port.
  4. Search your PC for PHP.ini and LIBMYSQL.DLL and see if you find it in any directory other than the one Uniform Server is in.
  5. So you have Apache in the Services? And the W:/ Drive does not stay?
  6. No... As new versions come out they prefer you upgrade, but they will still help you if you have IPB 2.1.7, but that version too is not free... and before you can get support, you must be a member also....
  7. Ok... I told you before didn't i that you didn't need to edit any file... If you continue there is nothing i can do for you. I need you to download a new copy! Fresh One. Look into your Firewall and Antivirus to make sure that they are not blocking Port 80! Do you have Skype installed? or have you ever installed the single distro of Apache, PHP or MySQL? If you can't listen there is nothing i can do for you....
  8. A. Do you have the Apache ditro installed on your PC? Not the one from UniServer, but the one from the main website? B. You need to get the new version that just came out, 3.4
  9. So everything works perfect now after uninstalling your Anti-Virus? Which one where you using.... and again, it miht not even need all that, there should have been a place in the settings or options that will allow you to unblock port 80... I guess it was locking the port.... I use Avast Free... Perfection
  10. None! You dont need to set any file sharing properties. Just allow Open port 80 and 3360 in the Windows Firewall (TCP) and everything should work.... you dont even have to do all that, it should ask you to unblock them.... Hope you have a new copy!
  11. This works perfectly on Vista believe me. And you do not need to modify anything or do anything so whatever help i give you here has to be tried on a new download that has not been modified. A. Do you have Skype? or have you ever installed the single distro of Apache, PHP or MySQL? or firewall that might be blocking port 80? Windows Firewall even, but it should ask you if you want to unblock, if it didn't, that might be the problem....
  12. K, so when you start the server W:/ drive is created and it stays... But you cannot connect to the server. So when you go to http://localhost you get an error? How about http://localhost/apanel/?
  13. Does it stay when you start the server?
  14. Do you have a drive called W:/ on your PC?
  15. hmm.. and when you tried Ric's method, it told u what was blocking it?
  16. hmm.. seems as though XAMPP might have left something behind. I need you to search your computer for this files: PHP.INI & LIBMYSQL.DLL If you find them anywhere on your PC other than the Uniform Server folder, delete it! And then try again...
  17. Yeah, we are working on a plugin for that, but switching, we will have to see... Could cause problems..... especially since we are a mobile server, but could be possible.
  18. About those steps, never really tried them, thats all Ric's job But try it without the quotes or the PID in front.. and see what happens... But to get back to your problem, you don't have Skype Installed, nor IIS, nor have you ever installed Apache or PHP or MySQL via their distro before right?
  19. I need you to also start your own thread so we dont get confused. Thanks.
  20. metaltailz: Download a new copy and this time follow the instructions and i promise you everything will work perfect... Sorry about before... got me on the edge youmeus: Did you change anything in the server? If not, you probably have something else running there... IIS, another server, or a firewall, or router or something blocking Uniform Server.
  21. A. Start your own thread. B. What do you mean you installed 3.4 just the other day?
  22. You can post this into our Bug System at SourceForge.
  23. A. READ! READ! READ! Before posting junk... am sorry... but its True. B. As stated in the release post on the blog, the problem with phpMyAdmin or the way it looks is NOT our DAMN problem! We do not make phpMyAdmin OK! C. As stated in the SAME PAGE you changed the MySQL password, you have to SHUTDOWN THE SERVER using STOP.BAT and start it over with SERVER_START.bat or something! D. You did not have to hardcode anything! E. READ READ READ!!! Seriously.... am sorry but u really caught this at a bad time... especially after everything said and added? F. What do you mean the access denied error is random.. what error? from where?
  24. First of, do you have Skype installed or IIS? before doing all that?
