  1. This was a error caused by fixing and testing another error fix...
  2. When people change the MySQL password, why is it that they cant see the bolded text saying shutdown the server using Stop.bat and then start it back?
  3. The only way to fully test this is to uninstall Norton, i would say you ask you dad for permission to uninstall it for a while and then reinstall it. Just to make sure, cause i have had lots of problems with Norton and the one deactivated might not have anything to do with the blocking part... It blocked my network, and didnt even allow me to enter my own network for a while too... Took it off and got Avast. Ask your dad and if he says no, we will have to deal with it one by one...
  4. That was made a while ago and we forgot to update... Thanks.
  5. So the server works, but the page redirect does not work? or to say, it loads up slow?
  6. Who cares... its alright, lol. And i feel you... when i was in high school they used to block websites like crazy, lol.
  7. http://center.uniformserver.com
  8. Um, thats the same thing WEC said, lol. oO
  9. hmm.. ok... I think i mistakenly caused that and forgot to fix it when i was trying to fix the privilege error... error for an error....
  10. If you still need further support, check out the newly pinned topic in the MySQL Support Forum. http://forum.uniformserver.com/index.php?s...view=getnewpost
  11. This has been pinned! To move on, that should only say that if you are trying to drop a table in the mysql database though, right?
  12. If you can't uninstall it to reinstall it, then you have to look for the place to disable it. Norton usually have options to disable for X amount of minutes.... Try that. Or look for where it blocks ports, especially port 80.
  13. Ok... this is not a problem. It works perfectly, but you are doing soemthing wrong. A. Download a NEW copy of 3.4-Sluger B. Start the server using Server_Start.bat C. Go to the Admin Panel http://localhost/apanel D. Click Run MySQL E. Go to phpMyAdmin F. Create Database G. Drop Database And you will see it works. If you are trying to change the MySQL root password, in the Admin Panel, look for "MySQL Server Configuration" change the password there and after changing the password, STOP the SERVER with Stop.bat and then start the server over again and it should start using the password you change it too. Uniform Server is different than other WAMP Servers. What makes us different is that we are mobile and in order to be mobile, we have to be flexible. The password is not hardcoded into MySQL but saved to a file and ... Just do it and it should work perfect. PS: DO NOT EVER CHANGE THE MYSQL PASSWORD FROM PHPMYADMIN UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO!
  14. Skype uses Port 80... You have to change it in the Options or Settings panel
  15. I still have to solve that problem of what seems to be causing it..
  16. Same here, lol...
  17. If i told you to uninstall Norton, can you reinstall it? We might need to uninstall that to see...
  18. They must have something else.... hmm, that cool though. I hate Norton though... causes too much problem... lol.
  19. A. Do you use Skype? B. Do you have single distros of Apache, PHP or MySQL on your PC? C. Search your PC for PHP.INI and LIBMYSQL.DLL and make sure its nowhere else but the Uniform Server folder. D. Do you have IIS? E. Antivirus or Firewall... They als block Port 80
  20. Then set it to "localhost:port"; You also have to set the one for perl files in the /home/admin/www/cgi-bin/includes/lang/en/secure.pm
  21. Just as i said, you are not reading. Its a question... and what does Skype had to do with us... you should know that?
  22. Run MySQL from the Admin Panel? or use Disk Start.vbs
  23. Before we go on to anything, we would be glad if you could please help nominate your favorite WAMP Software on SourceForge.Net in the Community Choice Awards. Nominate us in as much category as you can. In fact, you can nominate us in every category... Don't think negative, your nomination will count, every inch of it, so please nominate us: Continue Reading: SVN & Nominate UniServer!
