  1. Send an email to beta@uniformserver.com with your name, occupation (what you do) and some brief info... Then activate your email in the forum. It is currently private...
  2. Your application has been approved Welcome to the Team. You should recieve a PM soon.
  3. phpMyAdmin is protected under the Admin Panel. MySQL has a default username and password but the password has to be chnaged when mving to a production use of the server. To change the mysql password edit the file mysql_password in the /home/admin/www/ folder.
  4. I have no idea. Currently i am working on the Lite version because as soon as Taras fixes the Process32 bug which is delaying the 3.3 release, we have to make a quick release and the Lite version should at least be in beta by then, but as for the Pro version, I have no idea.
  5. phpMyAdmin is located in the admin panel which is protected. Unless you allowed access to the Admin Panel then it is not protected, but for now it is. Reply back with further details, i am also kinda confused cause it is defaultly blocked from all except localhost.
  6. Yes. You can set up a Virtual Host. Alleykat sent me a script that can do this.. which will be added to the Pro version of the Admin Panel when it comes out. If you would like it, i can send it to you but beware cause i have not yet test it out. You can always ask AlleyKat for more information.
  7. O.K. first do this, go to the Properties of your Network Card and edit the TCP/IP settings. Change it to Manual and enter the details it needs like the DNS, and so on. You can get them from the Status Of the Network Card.... After that, go to your router and open port 80 to your computer and try it. If it doesn't work, reply and i may have to make a step by step movie or a picture tutorial for you. You can also add me to MSN if you have and disturb me when you see me on. Be gentle though....

  9. Yes it does. You are using a Router (10.0.0.6 is not a real ip but a network ip which means that you are using a router...) What you should do to keep 1 IP from DHCP is this: go to the properties of your network pci card, edit the TCP/IP setting to manual and assign it a default network IP so that it does not change. Open up the Port 80 on your Router and let it redirect to that pc with the uniform server on it. What OS are you using so i can know what kind of network setting tutorial to write for you?
  10. Install it and if it asks to install a new MySQL server say NO. Let it used the default MySQL server that comes with the Uniform Server. You know the variables, like username and password so everything should be easy. The MySQL port is 3306 if you do not know.. If any error, reply here or at the hMaiServer Forum. The developer knows about our server and also i talked to him once
  11. Here is what i will do, i will install Apache2Triad on a test PC and see if i can get the Uniform Server to work on it after uninstall. This should help a lot and also help me troubleshoot it for you. Thanks.
  12. I have added some things like Login, Logout, and also a small Member Page which is still under construction. Probablility is that the Beta Center will be integrated with the website meaning the same layout and everything so watch out.
  13. The errors for the main website are caused by the link to one of the validators. I have removed it and it should be validating now and so should the blog
  14. Try using the hMailServer over at http://www.hmailserver.com. It is our main/recommended Mail Server here or at least by me
  15. The Website will be under serious integration. The plan for the website is to integrate with everything we can. Currently we will be integrating the website with the forum and also the Beta Center which is currently 15% and still in development. Updatess will be reported here. We may however be integrating the website bit by bit so you will have to check it for changes and updates. Thanks PS: As you may have seen there is a Google Ad on the website which is from our host. It has been placed there by them since that is what they ask for in turn of free hosting and bandwidth.
  16. I use the View New Post link in the nav on top.... never tried the unread or read topics one..
  17. Then you do not have a router. Once you add you IP to the no-ip database thing, try it and see it will work. If it doesn't, edit the httpd.conf file and add your IP to it instead of the localhost.
  18. Change the server name back to localhost but let it listen to port 81. Try that
  19. Our website was suspened today but the issue has been resolved with out host. We are sorry for this downtime that was cause by the installation of a powerful CGI script. Thanks and sorry for any inconvenience this downtime may have caused.
  20. What program is that? The proxy program..? If it is, you could try the System Restore Tool and test the server to see if it works and if it doesn't, re-restore it
  21. Yes, that is true... you have to edit the Admin Page. The new Admin Panel (Lite) and (Pro) will use short URLS so when you change the server to run on a domain or a IP it will automatically work with it. To change it, edit the inde.html or .htm page in the /home/admin/www/ folder. Also edit the config.inc.php file in the phpMyAmdin installation directory so phpMyAdmin will work well... BTW: I think there is a way to bypass the no-static IP thing.... There is a program no-ip uses and i am sure there will be a free on out there...
  22. The is a patch tutorial in the SF Patches System but i do not know if it is for ASP or Apache::ASP. Try it out and see if it works for you.... I do not know of any server that runs ASP with real Apache Httpd Server so.. i will look into it.
  23. Don't forget that he/she also has to open the port if they are using a Router...
