  1. Someone beat you to it, but thats alright
  2. You may have another server running like IIS.... Look and see if you have IIS installed, if you do.. uninstall it.
  3. Please download a fresh copy. The current version only have Apache 2 and not 2.2. The server is not yet updated to work with 2.2 so whatever you did will be the cause of the problem.
  4. The service plugin included is kind of tricky and messy. what it does is that it copies over your entire server to a Fixed Location. That means that you server is not mobile anymore and cannot be moved around. I think it copies it to a folder like C:/UniServerX.X or something. After the script says its done, you dont need to be going to that first location anymore. You will be starting and stopping the server using the services command. In Run: type services Look for Apache and MySQL and those are the ones you now need to be starting an stopping.... or you can make it automatic.
  5. I really dont know about putting IPB on the server, but i think it should work... what problems are you experiencing> can you let us know...
  6. I think it is a program on the PC that might be causing it. A firewall, anti-virus or something of such. I have also seen it and tried and tried to get something like this, but just can't. And worst, its right out of the box.
  7. Thats Ok.. this will be fixed by next version and most people know anyways Thanks.
  8. Sorry for the delay. The PHP extensions actually work alright, just have to figure whats wrong with the one you are trying to use. It seems like the plugin loaded but the problem is the jvm.dll. Will look more into that for you as soon as you give me a buzz back on what Java you have installed on your PC. The JDK or the JRE?
  9. It could be a Anti-Virus or something... never heard of a whole database disappearing though...
  10. you cannot run a .bat or a .vbs file under a limited account. Windows? But i can say that it is safe to run in a Administrative Account. It does not mess with your system or anything of such. If you experience any problems, just hit us back.
  11. If it uses Mod_Rewrite, you have to search the forum for ways to use it... some ways work and some dont for some reason... we are still looking into that.
  12. That because the service is not installed. Installing Uniform Server does not automatically install the Service... thats a special plugin...
  13. Wait for the next version... no set date yet...
  14. k, tell us how it works out. RIC: Just another Fork.... no chnages but the admin interface....
  15. Could you give us a link to the download location...
  16. This has happen before.... not sure if we fixed it though... search the forum...

  20. I don't think they are that hard... and thats what i think we are following.
  21. Is that the real Windows Vista OS you are running?
  22. So you have it working> It should be alright to move around since the server itself is the main thing and thats mobile.
  23. What do you mean? You mean the one in the Apache Root Category? Start Apache?
  24. No, not right now there isn't.
