  1. The password in the mysql_password file in W:/home/admin/www/ needs to be chnaged, when that is changed, so is phpMyAdmin and phpMyBackupPro if you hav not run it since install... but before changing that, go to phpMyAdmin and change the password for the root user... About starting as a service, search the forum here... even for mysql password. We do have a service tool, but i remember MrX recommending a program to a user that i think might do the trick neatly without making you confused.
  2. If you can wait for 3.4, it would be better. some bug fixes and updated technologies. It will be better than using 3.3 as the production server. But on the other hand, if you can't wait, let me know and i will tell you.
  3. Is the W:/ drive created?
  4. mail() funtion, will be used using Fake Sendmail... allow you to connect you a SMTP Server like hMailServer. SQL 4 and 5, maybe a downgrade plugin...??
  5. I need you to check to make sure they are not still installed on your PC, because if they are, then thats part of the problem. If they are not, go to C:/Windows and C:/Windows/System32 Look for a file called LIBMYSQL.DLL and delete it if you find it in any of those folders....

  7. Ok, so you have installed Apache and PHP before, what you have to do is uninstall them. They cause errors and wont let Uniform Server function. Uninstall everyhting, Apache, PHP and MySQL if you have them as a standard install on your PC.

  9. Do you have Apache installed seprately on your PC, have any other server running like IIS?
  10. Thanks...
  11. Do you have a drive called W:/ already on your PC?
  12. Are you trying to access it via phpMyAdmin> if it is via phpMyAdmin, go to W:/www and edit the .htaccess file. modify as specified in it, comment the lines needed.
  13. No No No... lol, i know right. hmm... an idea, but gonna be hard to do... dont even think its possible.... By portable, we mean you can move the server around and it will work. Unlike XAMPP, you can move it from folder to folder, computer to computer and it will still work!
  14. There is no instruction, not unless you search online... try searching Google... Download the file from: http://museum.php.net/php5/php-5.1.1-Win32.zip Check the ext folder after unextracting that and look for php_curl.dll Check this site and read the top instruction: http://us2.php.net/manual/en/ref.curl.php I think the libeay32.dll file comes prepacked, not sure about ssleay32.dll though, you might need to check.
  15. Did you put an exception to it in Windows Firewall? Also, did you set the things up right....? If you have a router, did you set up port forwarding... and are you entering the right IP?
  16. No it does not come with the installation. Go to the php.net download page and look for the Download archive, download the one for the same version of php as in Uniform Server, unextract and in the ext folder look for the extention.
  17. Why don't you want to move things over to the server document root? That would be better dont you thing.... I am not sure but 'alias'ing in Apache might work for you and if that does not work, then 'Virtual Host'ing should work. "alias" or "Virtual Host"
  18. How are you trying to access it, via phpMyAdmin or another program? Check your Firewall settings also....
  19. When you do that, do you uncomment it in the php.ini file ad then Restart the server. As in stop and start the server again?
  20. Does the server work our of the box? Uniform Server is not like HomeSite, it uses different technology... so you can't just be messing around with it like that.... and you can't just definately change the Document Root like that... as you can see, the server is mobile. If you move the whole folder to /www, then you should be able to preview it, if you move the files including the folder, then you can view it at http://localhost/folder, but if it just the files, then http://localhost should work. Using virtual host on Uniform Server has been kind of a pain, some method works and some codes dont, so you have to search the forum and try them all... not that much, just about 5 or less methods have been checked.... If anything, we are here.... Good Luck...
  21. Read what it says on the site.... Seems like you have to get it from the PECL repository. You need the XSL extension.
  22. You can put it in the stickware, and as you know you have to give credit. What i was saying is that you just can't charge for the Uniform Server part of it... just your app and anything else.
  23. No problem.
