I saw the file size of mysqld_z.exe is 51M in mysql plugin, I think it is too large to this mysql total size(182M). Reduced to about 5M maybe a good result. Thanks.

  2. Hello everyone! First of all I would like to thanks everyone involved in creating and keeping up to date this great project! As per topic, I would like to suggest a small change in the default value of sort_buffer_size in my.ini file which is 64K, and increase it to at least 128K. The reason why I ask for that change is an error in the Joomla! CMS - all latest versions. Joomla require higher value by default, but it won't inform about it, instead after installation in every single admin screen you will see an empty error notice box - http://imgur.com/a/kC2fh In Joomla! github repository, long ime ago there was a topic about this issue, but without conclusion or fixes…

Hi, uniserver is great for use it on a usb-stick. But sometimes i wanna change the lcoation of uniserver-folder, and so i have to change all paths in the configs, regarding to the new location of US. When i create my apache-configs, there has to be absolute path to documentroot (e.g. C:\webs\testweb). So i created an "Unicontroller_start.cmd", which sets an variable: @echo off set webspath=%CD% start UniController.exe It`s located in US`s root and it sets webspath=localtion_of_file, so i can use that variable in my apache configs (configs are located and included from "US-root/Extra/configs/*.conf"): <Directory "${WEBSPATH}\Extra\webs\moodle"> Folder "Extra"…

  6. I request that mod_fcgid (Module Identifer: fcgid_module) is added to Uniform Server ZeroXI apache module. Strangely, Uniform Server Zero XI includes proxy_fcgi_module modules/mod_proxy_fcgi.so and I am a little confused as to why httpd.conf includes; # FastCGI Module configuration <IfModule fcgid_module> Include conf/extra/httpd-fcgid.conf </IfModule> # Proxy Html Module configuration <IfModule proxy_html_module> Include conf/extra/httpd-fcgid.conf </IfModule> when there is no conf/extra/httpd-fcgid.conf file included in the Uniform Server ZeroXI apache module ZeroXI_apache_2_4_6_a.exe. I am in the process of trying to add mod_fcgid to my Unif…

  7. Started by Zian,

I just installed the latest version of UniServer Zero and had a lot of trouble figuring out how to start the server because nothing showed up on my screen after running UniController.exe. It was only by accident that I clicked the "Show hidden icons" in my Windows taskbar and saw the "U" logo there. Please show the UniServer window by default when running the program normally; it's always possible to run a program as "Minimized" using a shortcut, which would be an indication that the user wants the program to only show up in the Windows taskbar. I am running UniServer on a Windows 7 x64 machine.

  8. Problem: I am having difficultly finding Forum postings relevant to my problems and specific configuration of Uniform Server (currently Uniform Server Zero XI). Solution?: May I suggest the Support -> Windows Forum is further sub-divided into Uniform Server Zero versus Uniform Server Series (Nano,Carbo, Orion, Coral, etc), and then further sub-divided into appropriate sub-forums; PHP, Apache, MySQL, etc. OR some other division/sub-division that differentiates between Uniform Server Zero versus Uniform Server Series (Nano,Carbo, Orion, Coral, etc).

  9. Could you create an option to set the default editor for config files launched from UniServerZ controller? With UniServer (coral), I could change the editor from notepad to gvim.exe by editing main_menu.html. But there doesn't seem to be anything equivalent for the controller in UniServer Zero. Please let me know if I just overlooked it. If the source code is available, I'll be happy to download, edit and recompile it myself. If it is not available to the public, could you add an option to set a custom editor for text/config files? Thanks, Mel

Hi there, Not sure if there is a roadmap available somewhere but I'm wondering if there is any plans to update the MySQL version to 5.6? Or if there are some instructions somewhere that I can follow? Thanks.

PHP (http://windows.php.net/qa/) development versions have already added x64 bit builds onto the qa site, Apache (http://www.apachelounge.com/viewtopic.php?p=24281) builds now have x64 bit builds, and MySQL 5.6 (https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/5.6.html) also has x64 bit builds. If you were to package the Uniform Server into an x64 bit build, it would provide more stability, security, and speed to people with x64 bit processors on Windows. Activeperl also has x64 builds too. It would make perfect sense. All the User would require is the Visual Studio 2012 Update 1 Redistributable Package (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679).

The return of UniTray and the new look is very cool. However, while the the UniTray notification icon is very functional, in my opinion it is a bit of an eye sore and detracts from the new red branding. In an effort to give back I mocked up a few alternatives for your consideration. Link: http://imgur.com/a/HVJun I hope this is the right area to post feature suggestions. It looked like the beta testers forum was more appropriate, but I am not sure if I qualify for the password. Let me know if you like them, and think they should be implemented. I would be glad to post variations if you have any suggestions. I will also give the .psd to anyone who is interested in it.
