  1. Yeah, i think. Not too sure. Yours is openssl, pure, but ours is developed with openssl as an inside tech... not too big on ssl technology..
  2. After starting Start.bat Go to http://localhost and then enter the address. I believe you are using C:/blah/blah/ if thats the address on IE then it wont work. It needs to be http://localhost/ Example, in IE the address should say http://localhost/testingphp.php for the testingphp.php file i see there. BTW: Are you the same person as the on who posted the topic? or is your own problem the same?
  3. The Uniform Server Development Team needs people in the following areas: Graphic Designers: We are looking for Graphic Designers to help create buttons, banners, flash animations and other things that are needed but are being made slowly due to work overflow. Language Translators: We are currently looking for Translators who can help Translate the Admin Panel to other languages. Please read this topic for more information on how to help translate Admin Panel 2.0 into other languages for release with v3.3: http://forum.uniformserver.com/index.php?s...=201 NSIS Programmer: If you have knowledge of the Nullsoft Installtion System, we are looking for you. The NSIS Installer is the default installer for our plugins and due to the work overflow we have not yet started the installers for the plugins, both old and new will be using this installer to make things easier on us. If you are intrested in any position, please send me a PM and i will further reply you with more information. As a member of any of this group you will be added to the user group here in the forum and will be able to get Beta Versions of the server and also use of the Developer Forum; Along with the new Beta Center that is currently under development. Thanks.
  4. After copying everything to the server without the htaccess and all other things that come with Uniform Server, you have to reconfigure the config file to your own server's. You have to chnage the paths and so on...
  5. Can you speak, read, or write in other languages apart from English? If so, then you can help us. The Uniform Server Development Team is looking for translators to help translate both Admin Panel 1 and 2. Attached is the pack for Admin Panel 2 which will be packed with 3.3 in the upcoming release. If you would like to become an official translator, please help by translating this first pack into another language other than English, and then attach it to a reply on this topic. After translating, you status in the forum will be changed to Translator/Beta Tester. To translate, please read the READ ME.txt file in the package. It is very recommended that you follow the instruction so that we have no problems or bugs. Thanks and Good Luck. [EDIT] THIS TRANSLATION PACK IS ON HOLD! PLEASE DO NOT TRANSLATE IT AS ITS OLD. A NEW PACK WILL BE COMING OUT SOON. If you would like to translate, send me a PM with the language you want to translte it into. Make sure you read this whole topic for other things i fail to mention in here.
  6. You sure are a no0b. Anyways, i hope you did not upload the www folder with the folder "www" itself? All you need to upload is the files in the www folder except for the ones that came with Uniform Server, like the htacess file and the other files that might be in there. That problem is caused because your server has directory listing turned off which is a good thing for security so people don't dig through the server when you do not have a defualt file like index.html in place.
  7. The Uniform Server uses Stunnel SSL. There is a plugin for that on our SourceForge.Net Download System. If you are free, you can post your own experiment into the wiki. Post it here: http://wiki.uniformserver.com/Enabling_SSL
  8. Damn. Since you are using 3.2 can you try testing 3.2a and see if it is the same thing?
  9. This is funny. Since Dokuwiki does not use MySQL we can say its not MySQL's problem. Have you ever installed MySQL or Apache before? Or even PHP?
  10. On the MySQL site, there are some tools you can install that can help you optimize the database. I'm not sure if phpMyAdmin can do it, but it should be possible... not too sure though. Try downloading MySQL Administration, i used it before. Also search for more optimizing tools. Wow, thats one big database. Anyways, about the RAM, thats what i noticed with MySQL. Try and search Google and ways of letting it go to full potential. It might be in the my.cnf file. Never tried it. Hope this helps. Good luck
  11. Go to http://go-pear.org/ and download the latest installer. Then run it. Replace it with the old one. Thanks.
  12. All of the above, unless you change the password from 'root' to 'rootp'
  13. Sorry... every byte and bits counts... remember, less size.. even if it is a bit..
  14. After you delete the Uniform Server, nothing is left on your PC unless you installed the services plugin with the Uniform Server and forgot to uninstall it. Recheck your httpd.conf file. Also, why didn't you just use the .exe package? They set everything for you... BTW: The problem is nto only with PHP, i do not think it is even PHP or anything. You totally set something wrong cause it also tries to download folders...
  15. Do you have another Anti-Virus software? Did you add Port 80 to the list of Port Exception in Windows Firewall? Are you using the real IP and not the network IP? Network IPs are like this: 192.168.1.XXX To find out your real IP go to http://www.whatismyip.com
  16. k, First i want you to explain your problem fully cause the first thread does not say much about the problem. Only the title. Do you mean sessions/cookies does not work at all? I tested it over here and session and even cookies works just fine. I will try and test php-nuke but i need to know what the problem is... What does it say when you login? Does php-nuke say anything or does it go through, but then does not really login. Wehn you tried Register Gloabls On or Off. Did you shut the server down and then start it to test? You have to shut down the server and restart it if you didn't. The Restart Server Link in the Admin Panel will not work for that cause that only Restarts Services, not the server itself. Thanks
  17. I do not think it is because of cookies. It might be because of Register Globals. Check to see if it is turned On or Off in the php.ini file.
  18. Be very careful when you use this setting....
  19. Restart your PC and it should delete. Did it work at first, and if it did, did you change anything or reconfigure anything...?
  20. It is actually easy to install with the installer. Download the Zend Optimizer exe Start the server Run the exe Select Apache 2.x in the Web Server Options php.ini's destination folder should be W:\usr\local\php\ Root folder should be W:\ Document Root is W:\www\ That should be it if you use the Zend Optimizer exe to install it.
  21. The user directories are created in W:/www not W:/home Also check to make sure that the option is turned on in the httpd.conf file. I am not too sure if it is on in 3.2a.
  22. No, if you want to chnage the system root password, you have to do that through phpMyAdmin's Administration Interface. It is there that you change user settings, add users, and so on.
  23. That is not suppose to happen. Please recheck to make sure. Nothing writes to that file so it is suppose to stay whatever it is changed to. Unless someone changed it back or messed with the file.
