  1. Robost? wow, its open source, we do not get paid, no 401k plan, dental, or anything What do you expect... We do the best we can... how we can, but sometimes IIS finds a way to start even after being stopped. Microsoft

    PHP 4.4.0

PHP 4.4.0 is not released yet for Uniform Server, the downgrade plugin that is.
  3. A. Yes you can, you will need the SlimFTPd plugin for that though. Download it at the SF Download Page. You can get the link from www.uniformserver.com There is no such thing as CHMOD on Windows... Not needed For the last part, you are going to have to go tutorial hunting or something via Google. If you are a beginner, its best you do so.
  4. In order for uniform Server to work, IIs has to be stopped or uninstalled. Preferrable Uninstalled so it wont cause problems with the server.
  5. um, i'm sure i said in the forum. If you are trying to get it from the Apache site, you have to download the whole server and remove it form the exe, or you can just get it here like i said. In this forum post: http://forum.uniformserver.com/index.php?s...=findpost&p=240
  6. Yap The VBScript was removed in 3.2, which started MySQL with Apache; but a new version will be coming with 3.3 which will allow you to start MySQL with Apache after asking you...
  7. Its in the Apache package....? Just download the one you found here on the forum, place it in W:/usr/local/apache2/modules Edit httpd.conf file and uncomment the line for the mod_vhost_alias module The vhost.php script is a small script that helps you make virtual hosts... Recommended only for no0bs You need the mod_vhost_alias module for vhost to work on Uniform Server. Good Luck
  8. To open your server, delete ot edit the .htaccess file in W:/www About that error, its a bug in UniTray. This is due to the fact that its a plugin made and built for 3.3 but we had to release it for 3.2, thereby making few mistakes and forgetting to chnage things... Go to http://localhost/a/ Thats the Admin Panel address on 3.2a- Start MySQL Then click phpMyAdmin from the Admin Panel for phpMyAdmin Good Luck

    PHP 4.4.0

Dont worry about files you dont know. Believe me, its not spyware nor adware nor a virus.... About the extension, you need to download the PHP 4.3.11 package from PHP. Find where they keep old versions... (should be a link to the left of the page, where navigation is) Download that package and then get the php_gettext.dll file from it. After that, edit the php.ini file and uncomment the extension line.
  10. Search the forum for mov_vhost or virtual host.... You will find some threads that will be of help.
  11. umm, elyk.. the guy had problem with the server not virtual host. It starts but you can't connect to it...
  12. There are ways to limit that if you like... some programs can help you do it and you can also do it using PHP if you like...
  13. Yeah, we are making plugin for that...
  14. hmm.. didn't happen why i try last.. but that was 3.1 i think.. but then again, another bulletin board software so... who knows.... but it does not happen for my bullen board software i'm making....
  15. lol.. forgot it was Win95.. someone had the same problem you had.. started but no loading... had to reinstall WinXP cause we could not remove an Apache Service... Let me think over yours.. get back to you tomorrow..
  16. This is twisted. K, I want you to check the Services Control panel and see if there is a Apache Service in there somewhere. The command to start the panel is: Run>services.msc
  17. No problem.. Thanks
  18. Hmm.. read the Read Me file in the docs folder. It has the info on what is needed in Win95 to run the server right.
  19. next time you wont make that mistake of installing Apache wrongly... i envy you all that can just reinstall Windows when you like... i can't... cause of my files and so on
  20. Something might be blocking port 80 on that computer. Skype? Another Server? IIS?
  21. It comes with 3.3 I would recommend you to wait for it because of problems and insecurity that may arise if you install it on 3.2/a
  22. Thats shouldn't be.... We may be missing something.. another PHP.ini file... another my.ini or cfn file... or something that may have been left behind by single installations...
  23. This is bad.... stop that service and test if Uniform Server will work... if it doesn't, you have to reinstall Apache, find a way to remove the Service with the Uninstallation...
  24. Reinstall it again and uninstall it right this time.
  25. Are you sure another server is not running? Or a program is not using port 80? Like Skype?
