  1. Go to www.whatismyip.com It will tell you your Internet IP
  2. yea it will
  3. Thats true, rather than editing the httpd.conf file you can put it in the .htaccess file.
  4. Thats funny.. it does here.. tired it once.. i will give it a test as soon as i can
  5. Just as AlleyKat said. We do have UniTray for the system tray and Admin Panel 2.0 will be packed with 3.3 About the command prompt. It is not suppose to do that for MySQL Queries but it is suppose to do it for starting MySQL up. I have only experience that cmd prompt coming up when i tested MyBulletinBoard or something like that. It came up because they were using the function, but i have no idea why it is coming up for you when you query MySQL. Watch out for the new version of UniTray, more features and so on
  6. Edit the httpd.conf file and turn the error codes on. Also must have the Error Files, or create yours. All that might not be necessary. Try creating a 404.shtml file in W:/www and test that function again..
  7. Probably because the Error Setting is not configured in Apache. You probably have to set it up. It default setting is Off. Can't you just use the easy way, 404.shtml and so on file?
  8. After seeting it up right on localhost, replace localhost with the no-ip address? http://blah.no-ip.com/Owner
  9. Moving this to the Programming Forum. Thanks. BTW: Dont understand what you mean? probably has to be used within a if and else statement. if this page is true, go, if false, 404 function ?
  10. Added and test, works perfect. Though you missed one
  11. We have a services plugin. Its in the docs/services folder. Just run Run.bat, make sure to read the READ ME please. After running Run.bat it will create a folder in the C:/ directory which will be the new installation. It is there that you will now be using. The www folder in the C:/ location. Putting a shortcut to the Start.bat file in the Startup Folder also works. In fact i prefer that to the other which can sometimes cause problems with those who have little experience with servers/services/apache Just create a shortcut to the Start.bat file and put it in the Startup Folder and it should work fine. Good Luck

  14. hehe... Thanks Test it when i am done watching Four Brothers
  15. If you are very good and familiar with Apache i'm sure its possible. From my side, its a long thing and i am sorry, but it will cause headaches The new subproject coming in about 6 months will allow something similar to this. It will allow you to chose the location of the www folder, tmp folder and so on. No release date set yet. Good Luck

  18. k, i want you to check that you do not have SINGLE installations of PHP, MySQL, or Apache Installed. If you do and they have written to the registry it will cause problems because all this programs check the registry for info before startup. Though the Uniform Server does not use registry, if they find a registry info they will go along with it. Check to make sure there is no my.cnf or my.ini or anything relating in C:/ and also C:/Windows also. What type of other installations of them did you say you had here:
  19. WB AlleyKat.. Just like AlleyKat said, or it may be because there is a PHP.ini in the C:/Windows folder or the C:/ folder. Hope the other installation is not the normal PHP install?

  23. umm? the forum is http://forum.uniformserver.com so i guess the homepage will be http://www.uniformserver.com All you need to do is run the Start.bat in the folder. The .exe package is on SF: http://www.sf.net/projects/miniserver It is a SFX so that means its the same thing as a zip but packed into a .exe Running the Run.bat in the docs folder is only for services... and was a mighty mistake. No where in the Read Me does it say to run it unless you read the wrong Read Me file which is the one for the services You have to uninstall old components from the Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel and you also have to uninstall the mistake you made by going to the C:/ folder and looking for a folder named UniServerX_X or something close; go inside the folder and you will find Uninstall.bat, run it and then after that go back and delete that UniServerX_X folder. Than go back to the main install and click Start.bat
  24. Its not hard and it only requires a PC running Windows. Give it a try and see for yourself Streaming Media might require additional software unless you plan to do it normally which is put the media in a web folder and programs like WMP and Winamp can stream of it like downloading...
