  1. Check to see if you have IIS installed on you5r PC... also, would it be safe to ask if you can uninstall your firewall/antivirus just to check if thats the problem?
  2. Do you have Skype running> or anything else on port 80.. cause it seems something might be running over it? I want you to try and download a fresh new copy, run it and tell me what happens...
  3. Ok Ok... lol... Still trying to fight all the bots changing the pages... Thats why i took registration down for now to disable all the accounts they might have registered... After that i will upgrade it to the new version.
  4. @ Ric... please butt in whenever.. lol. Help is always wanted.. lol. So no one cares if you butt in
  5. k, disconnect the stick, download a new copy of the server and run it.... tell me what happens....
  6. So its not working on your Desktop... you can only access that ONE.html file you have? and you still see the W:/ drive... When you go to http://localhost, what do you see?
  7. Ok... open it, what do you see? Do you see the folders: www, usr, home...?
  8. Turns it on......
  9. Try uncommenting this: NameVirtualHost *
  10. Start the server and go to My Computer, check to see if you can find the W:/ drive there?
  11. Search the wiki @ http://wiki.uniformserver.com
  12. You might want to uninstall that other Apache, cause it will cause big problems for you... even now... So uninstalling it is the best option cause of the registry dust registered and you dont want the one in Uniform Server to be messed up because of it
  13. Do you see anything in http://localhost and what do you see? Do you see your index.php file that you made? And you sad that your /test/ directory does not work? or load?
  14. Ok.. so you see a page with It Works! on it? Well, that means that another server is running. It might be IIS? Did you check to see if it is installed? Uniform Server does not display It Works, instead, it shows our logo at the center of the page.... So that means that another server is running... Check and make sure that you dont have another server running or another instance of Apache.exe Go to Task Manager: Look for Apache.exe and tell me if you see it.

  16. After starting the server, go to My Computer and check if it has the W:/ drive still there.... and let me know. You say you see the Uniform Server logo in http://localhost ? But you dont in http://localhost/apanel/ ?
  17. I know megan.. i also love the UniCenter and i am even thinking of taking the wiki down cause it pretty much takes the use of the wiki since it even has more information.... But really Ric, if you wanted more topics, you could just do something like the wiki. How to install this and that, like the wiki on cd, i am sorry, been to busy to get to do that, but i know you can do it, pretty easy.. just turn the logs off or put them somewhere else and co.... I will get back to you though... gotta run!
