As I'm thankful to be approaching the completion of some major goals with the assistance of the Uniform Server, I did something I rarely do these days. I actually had the presence of mind to make a charitable contribution towards the development and upkeep of the project as I've decided to settle on it as my local machine server of choice. I understand that there is an expenditure of time, effort, and monetization to keep everything moving forward. I really don't know how Olajide and Ric manage to provide a world-class, commercial-grade, enterprise-ready level application at an Open-Source price, but I knew I had to at least kick in a little to the kitty just to show my …

Hi, I using your server from years. It's very good and easy to use. I would like to suggest to integrate NGINX server as front and to keep Apache on the back. It's running fast. It's very easy to integrate. At digitalocean.com I found a help how to do it. I will be happy to see it as part of Uniform server. Also will be nice to be pre-installed ioncube loader and DBG (PHP DEBUGGER - dbg-php-5.4.so /.dll). Thank's

Hi guys, I just discovered the project and I've been searching the forums and wiki. I see one or two abandoned attempts to produce a python plugin, and a little discussion indicating a desire to keep the package focused on PHP. Is python something you maintainers would even want in the project if I made it? How involved would it be for me to do, and where would I start gathering info on how to do it? Why I ask: I'm starting a project for which I'd much rather use python (including pywin32-level capabilities) than PHP. My technical level: experienced apache admin and professional coder Thanks! I get this error: ForbiddenYou don't have permission to access / on this server. I want to use the same directory for the http and https; I have a custom path in conf-hosts and I would like to be the same for https alse. Thank You!

Use Uniform Server ZeroXI for development. When completed, the scripts uploaded to the main webserver. During development I will stop and restart Apache and also mySQL. An idea: The color of the icon changes depending on what's running Blue = Apache and mySQL runing ½ red + ½ blue = Apache stop and mySQL running. See Favicon1 ½ blue + ½ red = Apache running and mySQL stop. See Favicon2 Red = Both stopped favicon2.ico

Hi I am new to Web Design and been suggested this site. I tried to upload all my files. I have a main.htm web page and have other sub .htm pages linked to the main page along with images. I could successfully load the main.htm but when I clicked on the sub pages they wouldn't open. I even tried to put everything i.e. sub.htm and images onto a folder and pasted it on the .www page but when I called the main page on the Host Server it still wouldn't open the linked images nor the sub.htm pages from the main page. Can anyone give me an insight on what to do please?

Can the server be started and stopped as a program in an automated way? I am writing an application and I want to use a web interface for part of it. It would be nice if my application could start and stop the server itself. Thanks

I have a font that I downloaded from the web that is a .otf font. Within Google Chrome, in my Uniform Server environment, on a php page, I am receiving the following message while using it... Is there a place in the Uniform Server where I can update the configuration with the following MIME type for my font extension... Some developers have it written like this... I just need to know where I can apply this and what is the right way to type it out, for the uniformserver. Thanks!

Would the Uniform Server Community ever consider making a WAMP stack version with MariaDB? With MySQL version 5.6, it is being reported that Oracle has changed a number of binaries that will virtually break backwards compatibility... meaning that it will make it a huge pain in the butt to roll back to a previous version. The original authors of MySQL re-joined forces and have created MariaDB and are re-establishing a true community, open source database platform again. Thoughts?

Im wanting to create a browser based application for my business and I was wondering if this can be installed on a Windows CE 6.0 tablet or will I need to buy one with a standard Windows OS installed? Thanks Scott

Hello, I would like to set up web services on my system. If I understand this correctly, I must install an application server on my system as well as having the web server running. Does Uniform Server make any recommendations on what would be compatible (or have an application server built)? I am currently running Nano 5_6_13, but I do realize this is dated and am willing to upgrade if needed. Thanks! -Steve

I am very interested in this NginX 1.3.4 plugin, how does it work? Why is it considered a plugin, instead of replacing Apache? I heard engine-x was a very attractive http server engine, and is favoured over apache in several aspects.

Just putting it out there. There are not that many options now for Android. An AAMP package easy to use like Uniform Server will be something.

What am I missing? I can only find 8.5.4 for download.

Wow guys, I'm not even sure I'm in the right forum? I've created an Excel workbook in mydocuments that I'd like to link to tables in my D: drive UniServer database tables. The Excel documentation points out that you can add a 'Secure Location' to link to but only offers the typical Microsoft database types including 'Oracle' and I was wondering if my database is compatible with those? If not then the documentation points out that you can add a database type. So I need to find out what type of database phpadmin creates and am not sure 'myisam' etc. is applicable. Any advice or direction greatly appreciated.

Hi Team, Attached I have created a new theme for Uniserver v8.4.0 and have applied in uni_con_program.hta file. I have attached few screenshots of live Uniserver 8.4.0 running on my wind-XP with new theme. I want to share it with other users but I dont' know how many files do I need to updated to implement this theme globaly. I recently installed Uniform Server on a new machine running Windows 7. I'm pretty sure I followed directions correctly. Three immediate problems (all strange since I've used the software previously on other machines). Server Menu is too small and can't be adjusted. See image attached. can't access localhost can't access phpMyAdmin Tried http://127.0.0.1/ in browser. No luck. Looked at C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts. Contained . Help appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, I would like to see an option in UniServer to deny access to specific IP addresses. I believe this would be a useful feature, specially for those running more than a single website. Is it something that could be considered for any upcoming release?

When you open uni_tray and there is not really a logic after, but it keep opening us_hta_delay.vbs inside being the text "wscript.sleep WScript.Arguments(0)". I have also a suspicion that this happens only on slow machines as this one I'm typing now(eeepc). While this makes it to practice how to close a window in my case notepad++ and the program opening the file again, and this can be fun for some people, i'll prefer to not do this. If this is possible. Thanks
