  1. 29Lets see here, So we have all our files on someone elses server.. and make a virtual link on our computer . at and this is so awesome we just have to push it and make a second virtual directory on another computer. because However it seems the honeymoon is coming to a quick end.. WHY?? Gosh why.. why would you trust youjr programming on anothers computer. Just another way to ........ anyway, here is why.,,. Possible reasons. 1, IP addresses 2. HOST file 3. NIC and router. 4. To prevent users from spamming the world with thousands of their new shiny "Virtual Servers" they put in a one machine limit. One machine meaning the computer that uploaded the files first is sent a KEY and only the computer with that key can play VIRTUAL SERVER. However everyone in the world can access it's web pages..
  2. 47I just got real tired of seeing errors from apache about no server path found. I set and reset paths in my computer, even edited reg, and went through every darn file in all libs. so in flustration i set my own and so far it works Quick setup is using the existing variable that apache can't find in HTTP.CONF at the top add <IfDefine US_ROOTF> Define US_ROOTF C:/PATH **The path i want the variable for** </IfDefine> <IfDefine !US_ROOTF> Define US_ROOTF C:/PATH **The path i want the variable for** # Define SSL </IfDefine> Thats it// NOW TEST it safely using httpd_z.exe -t -D DUMP_RUN_CFG Apache2.4 I researched it out and here is what worked for me. and tested using httpd_z.exe -t -D DUMP_RUN_CFG RESULTS::: ServerRoot: "C:/path/core/apache2" Main DocumentRoot: "C:/path/apache/htdocs" Main ErrorLog: "C:/path/core/apache2/logs/error.log" Mutex rewrite-map: using_defaults Mutex default: dir="C:/path/core/apache2/logs/" mechanism=default PidFile: "C:/path/core/apache2/logs/httpd.pid" Define: DUMP_RUN_CFG Define: US_ROOTF=C:/path **THIS IS THE ROOT PATH VARIABLE I JUST MADE** Define: php54 #<IfDefine TEST> # Define servername test.example.com #</IfDefine> #<IfDefine !TEST> # Define servername www.example.com # Define SSL #</IfDefine> #DocumentRoot /var/www/${servername}/htdocs <IfDefine US_ROOTF> Define US_ROOTF C:/PATH **The path i want the variable for** </IfDefine> <IfDefine !US_ROOTF> Define US_ROOTF C:/PATH **The path i want the variable for** # Define SSL </IfDefine> #DocumentRoot /var/www/${servername}/htdocs OPTIONS ON HOW TO USE EXAMPLE of use ServerRoot = ${US_ROOTF} <IfDefine php54> LoadFile "${US_ROOTF}/core/php54/icudt53.dll" PHPIniDir "${US_ROOTF}/core/php54/php_production.ini"
  3. 50Where are the error logs? access logs? PHP logs? set httpd.conf = LogLevel debug edit php_development.ini php_production.ini set all to E_ALL ; display_startup_errors ; Default Value: Off Development Value: On ; Production Value: Off ; error_reporting ; Default Value: E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE & ~E_STRICT & ~E_DEPRECATED Development Value: E_ALL ; Production Value: E_ALL & ~E_DEPRECATED & ~E_STRICT ; html_errors ; Default Value: On Development Value: On ; Production value: On ; log_errors ; Default Value: Off Development Value: On ; Production Value: On This should give you the reason for the issues
  4. 26wow what a trip'' I ran a new install of X and it went seamlessly. but prior i went into the registry and deleted every uniform server referance there was. Gosh the variables are working@! Getting excited again. going to go for the ssl. if it works I will report back on what I did so maybe it will help others, PS loaded the works. perl pear and so on.. I did put a lock on UniserverZ\home\us_opt1 and the other home directories by using a htpassword for each dir.. keeps everyone out. and the files work fine.
  5. 23the question about starting apache and mysql at boot even before you log in, I have a success story, I figured it out for WIN7 I do not know about WIN8 though. I went to start windows help and typed in schedule task and made a advanced task, in win 7 there seems to be 2 types. basic and schedule . Anyway in the First Tab General click the option, at system start up. Then again in Triggers select at system start up. However this alone does not guarantee apache will fire at boot. you have to go to the general tab again and choose a new user to start apache.. and NETWORK will start any program that uses the NIC at system boot or reboot. Just make sure to add the parameters you need to restart apache -r, Now thats cleared up lets move on to the serious stuff that is really making me mad.. since I need SSL and Zero X is short on the information I need, Since I installed a certificate i get the same errors you are getting.. and search as I may I can't re-find the one post I saw years ago about the dam ${US_ROOT] crap. I say it's crap as it's a variable but a variable I can't find a way to change to what I need. Before the certificate I just loaded every file in the UniServerZ22 directory into Notepad++ and did a replace all opened files ${US_ROOT] to c:/UniServerZ22 and everything worked,. Now nothing will even start, no matter what I do. So I can't run ssl at all. SO here comes c:/UniServerZ23 so I can at least get a web site up. If any one knows how to harness ${US_ROOT] ${US_ROOTW and ${US_ROOT]SSL either how to re direct them or better yet how to remove them I would love it. I can't run mysql until i have some security in place for it. as for some reason everytime i start MySql my port watcher security shows china and the Ukraine is banging at my doors.
  6. Yes outgoing only,, No worries though. I did get fakesendmail from the wiki pages and it is working fine,, You guys put in the edit for SMTP PORT in the fakesendmail ini and that is what did the trick.. errors for msmtp.......... 9. just had to note the non solution,, Uniform Server is fine, runs and runs like the old Ford trucks.. the issue is with Century Link non support services. My IP and domain point to another country! Turkey. Century Link whom I got my IP addresses from over 10 years ago blame Network Solutions,, My DNS supplier.. Network Solutions blame Century Link, and at first they blamed me,, Right up until I called corporate offices and talked to everyone I could get to listen, Still not working.. E.g: <php include('/folder/filename'); ## Servers should not be contacting other servers, trying to spam or exploit them. That's how they got on these lists in the first place! ## There are a lot of commonly used web servers covered by the following "deny from" lists! Your website may be hosted on an IP in these blocklists. # The web servers blocked here are being used as proxy servers, for attacking other servers, or for harvesting, scraping, spamming, phishing, or hosting hostile scripts used to infect personal computers. As such they are threats to your website, even if you are with a host on this list. # These are not ISPs or PCs. They are website hosting servers, parked domain hosts and datacenters. ### All of Peg Tech Inc's CIDRs are going into this blocklist! 13. Server Paths You can install The Uniform Server Zero in nearly any location, with the exception that the path to folder UniServerZ must not contain spaces. Do not use "C:\Program Files", for example (which has other problems as well, such as restricted permissions and system restore inconsistencies). We recommend installing to the drive root, such as "C:\" or "D:\" for simplicity, but other locations, such as "C:\test1\appserver" work just as well. Note: The space character restriction is generic and applies to other WAMP stacks as well. Many applications that will be hosted on the server do not tolerate spaces in paths. The system restore issue applies mainly to individual component installs. so no it will not work, I imagine English only? a-z 1-0

  15. WOW what a package. I have been running the NANO series for years. And have been mostly very happy with it, Then starting a bit ago it was attack after attack even caught a root kit and many many more virus. I tried Comodo, Norton And every thing i could find; studies HTACCESS till i lost half my hair and my husband started complaning, at one point I copied all my files (just my work not programs) to a stack of 100 dvd's and reformatted and reinstalled win7 and all my software programs. Just to get a clean slate.. So then there was this email lost in the spam for at least a week from Uniform Server announcing a upgrade was available for me. I jumped on it and installed the first of 3 Server Zero on the Win7 box. I no sooner got the first one runing when a upgrade notice came in and then a week or so later I got another,, Great server.. cudos' Setup took 2 minutes of editing, left almost everything as it was,, added web pages,, ((( using just HTML pages till this attack thing slows down, PERFECT just PERFECT... So in a heady rush I figure I can upgrade the XP box to Uniform Server Zero XI... One word NO---- don't do it, It says yes you are accessable from the internet but you are NOT.... Then this box pops up to move the splash page and my whole file system.. so i move the splash page and now every few minutes a pop up saying page not found and and Uniform Server Zero XI can not launch the default browser and I get firefox opening a 404 web page the requested URL /us_splash/index.php was not found on this server... I guess it is not in the www root as that is where i copied it back to.. WIN 7 yes.. a great fit.. XP... use NANO... Although now only the win7 box http://couch-potato-sales.com/ is workingl 78ez.com is DOA....
