Fido
Hi,I have just installed the erfran server which has linked me to your forum.I am able to view the home page via localhost, but not my files which I copied into www as a folder.Accessing the path through localhost/'folder'/'file.php'/ : gives me a 404.Am I right to put my files there?I cant access localhost/test.php, either.Could some one give me a pointer. Thanks in anticipation.Fido

Fido
Could you give us a link to the download location...Hi,I found the link and it was Erfan Server. The link is http://sourceforge.net/projects/erfanserverIncidently the Disk Start VB Script was identified as malicious by my virus checker.I think that Uniforn server has a better interface so I will try that.Fido
Ric
Thanks for posting the link, if I ever get time will check out the software. As for the reporting of a malicious virus I personally find that virus checkers have become overzealous in this respect. Most are warnings when run locally, IE is the biggest pain in this respect. That said unless you have run the script intentionally treat all alerts with respect.

tri
Hi, I installed the uniform server for the purpose of testing my php codes. Where should I put my .php files then? I used to install apache and php separately, and put .php files under the htdocs folder within apache. I don't know how to do it with Uni Server, have tried creating a htdocs folder within the apache 2 folder of Uni Server, but apparently that does not work. Many thanks.
