Ric
does uniform server have a built in ftp serverand if so, how is it configured?thanks Uniform server does not have a built in ftp server what you need is a plug-in checkout the plug-in page at: http://www.uniformserver.com/index.php?us=plugins Try SlimFTPd http://sourceforge.net/project/shownotes.p...lease_id=314156
Ric
I hate giving answers like the above because I know the documentation for SlimFTPd is not ideal, adequate for anyone with a little experience. Hence decided to add a little more confusion by doing a write-up for SlimFTPd you can find it here http://center.uniformserver.com/slimftp/slimftp_1_intro.html Not the best prose in the world however you may find somting usfull in the examples. An alternative is Quick N Easy FTP, check out the plug-in section, it contains a user-friendly menu driven interface. Worth a download just for its documentation in particular the problems section is excellent.

JonMCC33
Just use FileZilla Server. It's not a part of Uniform Server or a plug-in but it will run at startup and is easy to configure. http://filezilla.sourceforge.net
olajideolaolorun
FileZilla does not support SUBST drives... so it wont work. Quote Best Regards Olajide Olaolorun The Uniform Server Development Team
