Oh, I'm sorry, I missed it. ^^'

But, how would I permit someone to write without being able to rename?

Edit:

nvm, The admin option dictates rename and delete.

Now I have to go tell Olajide that I finally got the port forwarding to work so that I don't need the port in the URL. :)

It took me 23 tutorials for Linux and Windows servers before I could get it. ^^'

Could you outline the steps you took so that other users experiencing the same problem could solve theres too by experimenting with what you done?

Thanks,

For the no port in URL thing? My solution worked, but only for on the network the server is, no outside access, so, it isn't much of a solution, but me and a few others are working on the issue.

I'm using the same one I've been using since I first made this thread, Quick 'n Easy FTP Server. :(

I have tired his suggestion, and it errored with a timeout error everytime. :D

As for the port in the program, I have already confirmed that it is there.

IT WORKED! SlimFTPd, the plugin worked! Thank you! ^^ I had to set it to use port 2001, but it worked! :)

Now, how do I set it up to have a secondary user//pass for the www/ folder for another user to use with a limited access?

Hope that answers your question :D

I did, the FTP server is now running off of it. I had just found the other one easier to work with, because I had gotten used to it...sad, isn't it?

I have read everything I can find on ftp server...

Just a quick question.

Will slimftp still work with the latest (7.x) uniserver using the config outlined in the current wiki?

Thanks for help,

SlimFTP hasn't been updated in a long while. FileZilla Server is the server of choice. Look at this link: http://wiki.uniformserver.com/index.php/Fi...3:_Introduction, which is the info about setting up Filezilla Server using the plugin.
