ardjan
I've got the following, with an old UniformServer-release, and the latest release:When I click start.bat a commandwindow pops up which says that the server has started and the browser redirects to http://localhost/a/. The page is totally blank and no W:-disk is made. I've got this problem since a month, after I had reinstalled my computer. Anybody an idea what may be the cause? I liked UniformServer so much... elyk
Have you tried refreshing the browser after about 10 seconds to see if apache just needed time to load? Also try this: start a command prompt, navigate to your uniform server home directory, and type start.bat [some other unused letter here] to see if it's just having some sort of problem creating a disk W.BTW, what OS are you using? olajideolaolorun
First trobleshooting questions: A. What OS are you using?B. Do you have single installations of either PHP/Apache/MySQL? If not, have you ever single installed it on that PC before?C. Are you using Skype or any other related software like Firewall and Antivirus that may be blocking port 80? ardjan
It looks like Skype was the cause of the problem.I've closed it and now UniformServer is starting, W:/ is made, but.... There's now a new problem.Every page (also /a/ and my own sites) are displaying the following error:Forbidden You don't have permission to access /a/ on this server.Apache/2.0.54 (Win32) PHP/5.0.4 Server at localhost Port 80 Aargh... I've tried several things (such as unchecking the read-only box) but nothing works. System specs:- Windows XP Professional- NTFS filesystem- UniformServer 3.2aNeed to know more? Thanks in advance for any reply!
ardjan
To also answer your questions:B. Do you have single installations of either PHP/Apache/MySQL? If not, have you ever single installed it on that PC before? I've installed WAMPP when UniformServer did not work, but I've removed that later. I've renamed and edited .htaccess but that's not solving the problem. C. Are you using Skype or any other related software like Firewall and Antivirus that may be blocking port 80?I used Skype (see above), but I've closed that, even as all other programs, except my antivirus. It still does not work. Seems like there's a conflict somewhere. What to do now? Thanks a lot for your help.

The local server or the main server? Where are you access it from? localhost or ip address? If you are trying to access it from outside the local computer, delete the .htaccess in W:/www.
