Ok unzipped and did not see a install dir this time , just the Task Bar goodie. I clicked the Install and run all services.. and after getting the web page i saw phpmyadmin was missing so I fired up ProcessHacker.exe and saw Apache running but Mysql was not so I went into Bin and started it. but it did not show in the admin panel.

Then I figured it out I think. My.ini and my.cnf in windows.. points to the Uniform Server [5.7.3-Nano]

I set this one up to run both servers versions one with PHP5 and the new install to PHP4.

Am i right it would be the my.ini files or something else? ;)

Christine

UniformServer was designed not to leave "dust" in the system. Unfortunately, it's very easy for users to create the MySQL config files in other (legitimate) locations. The problem begins when these are not erased. I suggest you DELETE the my.ini or my.cnf files from everywhere but in the UniServer MySQL directory. That way MySQL can only find the proper one.

To help look around your system, I suggest a utility called "Search Everything", found at http://www.voidtools.com/ With this you can very quickly find ALL occurrences of my.cnf or my.ini on your system.

Regards,

BobS

PS. I've had this same problem....
