Ric
OK Thanks for the feedback. If you run a single instance can this be stopped? If there is a problem, try the batch (Start_Server.bat and Stop_Server.bat) files in UniServer\alternative_control I am interested in any errors reported and OS used. Ric
“I do not want to loose my database and files and configuration.” Remember this is a beta and will be buggy! Hence be prepared to loose your database and files. The whole point is to find and resolve bugs before final release. Ric
Ok “WONT WORK” is not a good starting point, lacks diagnostic information. US 5.3 contains several diagnostic elements perform the following: 1] Run UniServer\Start.exe – Do you get a path error pop-up?2] Run UniServer\unicon\main\server_status.bat – Are the ports free to use?3] If yes, run UniServer\alternative_control\Start_Server.bat – What errors are reported? Hopefully the above will provide information where the problem area is. All the bestRic

Ric
It really is difficult to pin point what the Issue is. I currently see two threads with a similar problem. Majority of users do not have a problem however that is no excuse for not addressing a specific issue. If you will bear with me I will add some additional diagnostics to 5.4, which I hope will pin point the cause. We are currently testing PHP 5.3.1 hence little time to answer posts. Ric
Generally most users do not have a problem. The forum is biased to users that due. Anyway with the release of 5.4 it contains a folder named UniServer\a_diagnosticCheck out the file Read_me_first.txt follow the instructions it may help. Hopefully your feedback will provide the team with a place to start with diagnosing this issue. All the bestRic.
