miniml Posted July 17, 2005 Report Posted July 17, 2005 Wouldn't be great if default charset and connection collation for the MySQL is utf-8? Well, for me it's a must. Quote coastaldisturbance™

nv1962 Posted November 14, 2005 Report Posted November 14, 2005 Ahem... Guess what my question here is about? So, how does one set everything in MySQL to default to UTF-8 input and output? I mean, there are too &*%$ many places where I could drop in the changed character/collation stuff, but I'm sure there's an easier way to make a database server speak more than just English... Thanks in advance! Edited to add: I work with the currently latest 3.2a version of the Uniserver package Quote
MarHaj Posted November 14, 2005 Report Posted November 14, 2005 Hi,we were solving the same thing in the thread http://forum.uniformserver.com/index.php?showtopic=270 ...changing system from latin1 to cp1250. We have succeeded at the last. Try it wit your utf8! MarHaj Quote
