hdon
I am trying to install the h20 framework (h2o.aestiva.com) into uniserver. It requires the .exe (perl based I think) be run in the cgi-bin but when I run it I get an error of: >>>Internal Server ErrorThe server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, admin@localhost and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.More information about this error may be available in the server error log.Apache/2.0.59 (Win32) DAV/2 PHP/5.2.3 Server at 127.0.0.1 Port 80<<< And when I check the log there is this:>>>- [Wed Apr 16 23:50:04 2008] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] (OS 740)The requested operation requires elevation. : couldn't spawn child process: W:/cgi-bin/asetup397.exe- [Wed Apr 16 23:50:04 2008] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] (OS 740)The requested operation requires elevation. : couldn't create child process: 720740: asetup397.exe<<< This install works no problem on XAMPP and elsewhere but not on uniserver. I'm thinking that it is a persmissions issue but can't find where permissions are controlled if that is even the issue. Assistance appreciated, hdon
Ric
I tried the program and found no problems; perhaps these notes I made may help: 1) Extracted clean version of 3.5-Apollo2) Copy file: asetup397.exe to folder: *\Uniform Server\udrive\cgi-bin3) Start Servers4) Type into browser: http://localhost/cgi-bin/asetup397.exe Install wizard displayed: Click Continue5) Wizard page 2 defaults look OK (removed drive letters): Domain Name: localhostSubdirectory: \Private Doc Root: /cgi-bin/privateCGI Directory: /cgi-bin Click Complete Install Note: Removed w: - For portabilityNote: Folder /cgi-bin/private not created - may need to manually create this! =======Aestiva H2O Install Successful page displayed: * The URL to your Aestiva Desktop is http://localhost/cgi-bin/start.exe/login.html * Your password is YIPPEE. Like I said installs and appears to work fine. I have no idea how to use it hence cannot verify functionality. Note: I made no changes to Uniform Server – OS XP-Home. Is it a PC security issue! hdon
>>>Like I said installs and appears to work fine. I have no idea how to use it hence cannot verify functionality. Note: I made no changes to Uniform Server – OS XP-Home. Is it a PC security issue!<<< It appears to be a Vista issue of some kind. I installed XP pro onto a virtual machine and it installed fine. STUPID VISTA once again. The functionality should be fine from here on in, never had a problem once it installs. It is like a replacement for XAMP in that it has its own dbase and scripting language which is much faster to program in than PHP and SQL. Thanks and cheers, hdon
