  1. If I remember correctly, this command should be able to tell you if something else is using Port 80: netstat -an | find /I "LISTENING" | find ":80"
  2. MrX

    Why???

Do people even know that we have an IRC Channel?

    ruby on rails

Have a look at Installing Tracks 1.03 on Windows XP - an updated guide.
  4. The program gave even more problems... ...which seemed to have been solved... ...but actually wasn't... ...which caused MrX to dump it... ...and introduce one final 3rd party program: The user was happy... ...and left... ...without learning about DynDNS!! MAY THE FLAMING BEGIN
  5. Now, MrX was more impatient (and foolish) than any one in #uniserver... ...and thus decided to give OfteN a piece of his mind... ...which caused the eyes of OfteN to be open, and he now knew that he did not need Uniform Server... ...MrX still wanting to help, foolishly offered OfteN a 3rd party alternative: The alternative had problems that MrX had not noticed before... ...and this brought in another 3rd party program:
  6. Allow me to begin with a dream about Uniform Server (and Olajide): Once upon a time, there was a user, who had some problems and his name was OfteN: MrX, who was pissed off by all those Skype problems, decided to ask him about it first... ...but it was not Skype and therefore MrX went on to the other boring questions:
  7. How about pressing the "Live IRC Support" button at the top of the site? I'll be there to help
  8. Just run a Command Prompt in the Uniform Server Directory and type: start.bat mysql (Don't use start as it may call Windows's start.exe instead of Uniform Server's start.bat) You could also make a shortcut with \start.bat mysql as the target and make it start in the Uniform Server Directory. Btw, don't forget to change to the Directory where you have Uniform Server installed No need for all the "messy" (imho) editing

  15. Ok.. Loadable Module refers to HiRes.dll, which is needed to perform some functions. You'll need to find a copy of HiRes.dll that is compatible with ActivePerl included in Uniform Server, or else, you'll get errors . The DLL needs to be placed in W:\usr\lib\auto\Time\HiRes\. EDIT: Download http://ppm.activestate.com/PPMPackages/zip...-HiRes-1.49.zip. Copy everything from Time-HiRes-1.49.zip\MSWin32-x86-multi-thread-5.8\Time-HiRes-1.49.tar.gz\Time-HiRes-1.49.tar\blib\arch\auto\Time\HiRes\ into W:\usr\lib\auto\Time\HiRes\ and replace W:\usr\lib\Time\HiRes.pm with Time-HiRes-1.49.zip\MSWin32-x86-multi-thread-5.8\Time-HiRes-1.49.tar.gz\Time-HiRes-1.49.tar\blib\lib\Time\HiRes.pm Hope that helps

  19. If I recall correctly, ASP isn't the same as ASP.net... I believe that Olajide is talking about this post in the Patch System (which is about ASP.net and not ASP). There are a few ways to do enable ASP support in Apache: 1) Apache::ASP (Requires mod_perl) 2) Sun Java System ASP (Commercial) 3) Via mod_proxy (You could use a server that supports ASP instead of Cassini, which is only for ASP.net) Anyone know of other methods that I haven't mentioned here?

    mysqli functions

No comments about the long path.. Olajide hasn't been reading things again Just a warning, PHP5 included with Uniform Server 3.2 is not the latest version but the latest version of PHP4 is available for downloads as a Uniform Server plugin Anyway, you can find php_mysqli.dll for your version of PHP here: http://us2.php.net/get/php-5.0.0-Win32.zip/from/a/mirror

    .htaccess

How about clearing all that anime from your brain buffer before speaking? You wouldn't like it if it overflows :) An emoticon you forgot: You can find all the examples you need here. Keep an eye out for those W:\htpasswd\ folders. We're just moving all the .htpasswd files from W:\www\\ to W:\htpasswd\\, it's that simple Anyway, I found this in my httpd.conf: # # The following lines prevent .htaccess and .htpasswd files from being # viewed by Web clients. # <Files ~ "^\.ht"> Order allow, deny Deny from all </Files> Hmmm.. so do you care to explain why we need that htpasswd folder again, Olajide? To make up for potential Apache bugs?
  24. He warezed it.. what else?
  25. Time taken to solve this problem.. *pulls out a calculator immediately* 13 days !! Wow, that's almost 2 weeks Can anyone beat this? Anyway, I would've told you what you overlooked, earlier, if you cared to visit the Uniform Server IRC Channel Answering vague questions with lots of possible solutions on a forum isn't my cup of tea (especially when the Edit button on some of my posts mysteriously disappear), you're lucky I decided to do so By the way, where was Olajide when all this happened? THE FOLLOWING ERROR(S) WERE FOUND You have posted a message with more emoticons that this board allows. Please reduce the number of emoticons you've added to the message What? What is it trying to say? I'm a smilie / emoticon abuser? *gives the forum a kick* Lastly: w00t?! I never knew about that smilie / emoticon!! *spots the Show All Smilies button, clicks it and starts memorizing* (Smilies / Emoticons used in this post = 10)
