Where do I find the php plugins so I can install to 13_3_1_ZeroXIII.exe ? I found php 4 I am looking for php 5.4 I followed a link in the manual to the plugins but cant find any. Thanks.

Ok I figured out how to install cURL sorry for the brain fart, I found the manual and read it, looked all over this site for the link to the manual finally found the link on the splash page when I restarted Uniserver. Anyways I installed cURL restarted the server ran the ownCloud install again http://localhost/setup-owncloud.php?step=1 no more cURL error but still have the Dependencies not found. ownCloud Server does not support Microsoft Windows. Error which I do not understand, if ownCloud is running on a web server why does it matter what operating system is powering the web server? This is all beyond me.

Hi I have been out of the game for a while now, time to get back in, wanted to setup and test Owncloud once dialed in then take it online for my immediate family to use . Started the install process ran into a snag received the following error. Dependency check Dependencies not found. ownCloud Server does not support Microsoft Windows. The following PHP modules are required to use ownCloud: curl Please contact your server administrator to install the missing modules. I did some searching of this site https://www.google.com/#q=installing+curl+site:http:%2F%2Funiformserver.com subject seems kind of fuzzy at least for my skill-set. How about a mini server like your wiki or phpbb with ownCloud installed Thanks.

FYI This website seems to have speed issues, sometimes painfully slow, speed does seem to vary. http://www.uniformserver.com/ loads the fastest. http://wiki.uniformserver.com is slower. http://forum.uniformserver.com seems the slowest and most painful. All other websites I visit on the web the speed is ok so do not think its on my end? Speedtest.net claims my connection is. Ping 21 msDownload 27.24 MbpsUpload 6.37 Mbps Thanks for what you do! Love this place.

I copied my Uniform Server into Linux Mint 17.3 and tried to run it using Wine and Apache will not start, Mysql starts fine. Anybody have any thoughts on getting The Uniform Server to run in Linux, After Windows 8 thing and now windows 10 I would like to get away from Windows all together. I installed XAMMP in Linux Mint but its a primitive setup that I cant figure out, heck it does not even create a icon to start XAMMP from I guess you have to type some sort of command to make it start each time like in DOS back in the early 90's???? I installed XAMMP a week ago and the power went out rebooted my computer cant figure out how to start it again guess I will have to search the internet find the webpage that showed how to install and find the command again.... Thanks in advance.

When I run Uniserver on my Windows 8 machine it works perfectly and as intended I also can access Uniserver on the internet. On the same Windows 8 computer running VirtualBox and Windows 7 with Uniserver the Uniserver runs and functions properly but I cant access Uniserver from the internet, I assume their is a path blocked some place? Thanks.

Hi I am trying to get my home web server visible on the web running from Windows 7 that is running on VirtualBox. When I try running Uniserver from the host machine (Windows 8) I have no problem seeing it on the web, I must be missing something that allows it past VirtualBox? Anybody ever run across this before? I am not sure where to start. Thanks in advance.

I have never used skype in my life I have never installed the application. I go into add remove programs and skype is NOT on the list of installed applications. I go into Programs Files and their is no skype. I go to the start menu type in skype and it returns a skype thing, I click on the skype thing and the whole screen goes blue with a skype in the middle let it set that way for 10 minutes thats as far as it goes click all the buttons on the mouse nothing hit every key on the keyboard nothing except for alt tab takes me back to where I was before the blue skype screen came up the ONLY way to get back to the skype screen is too go back to the start menu and type in skype again find the link again. GO back to start menu type in skype again then right click on the icon choose properties app properties comes up click on "Open File Location" button NOTHING! Aparently their is some kind of skype shit on this computer hiding some place but I have no idea where or how to remove it, I downloaded and installed skype thinking install skype then remove skype in add remove programs then it would clean itself up when UNinstalled, installed then removed, same exact problem. This link is no good simply because I have no skype to open http://www.mydigitallife.info/disable-skype-from-using-opening-and-listening-on-port-80-and-443-on-local-computer/ I followed the link to here to try and figure out what is controlling port 443 http://www.mydigitallife.info/how-to-check-and-identify-which-application-is-listening-or-opening-port-80-and-443-on-windows/ none of the commands I typed in returned any useful information. For example C:\Windows\System32>netstat -o -n -a | findstr 0.0:443 TCP 0.0.0.0:443 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING 4 C:\Windows\System32> I have about 2.5 hours wrapped up in solving this port 443 error problem. FYI I was not asking how to use task manager, the question was I can see UniController running in task manager I just cant find the icon so I can get to UniController, UniController running some place its not on my desktop, task bar or in the hidden icons thing so where is it running it must be hidden some place like this skype crapola, the difference is I can find the UniContriller and kill the process I was asking how to get too the process. I have the opposite problem with the skype problem I never find it running in task manager unless it has a different process name. Suggestions? Thanks again.

Cant get Uniform Server Zero XI to run in windows 8 When I double click on UniController icon the first thing I get is this error. Then I click "OK" the window goes away and the blue Uniform Server is no place to be found. I double click on the UniController icon again and I get a error message that its already running, go into task manager and find it just cant find the icon to get to the controller. Suggestions? I have no clue what else on this PC is using port 443. How do you check to see what ports on your PC are in use and by what program, also how do you change the default port 443 to something that is not in use in Uniserver? Thanks in advance.
-
Just downloaded unpacked Uniserver 8.9.2 double click on Start_as_program when it starts I get a error about port 443 being in use. Where do I go from here I need step by step instructions to change it to another port or locate what other program on my computer could possibly be using port 443. Thanks in advance.

Is it possible to install PHPBB 3.1 on the phpBB3 MiniServer. I downloaded and run the phpBB3 MiniServer works perfect great idea love it, then I got the idea hey just download the latest version of the PHPBB 3.1 and install it on the already running MiniServer. So I did, I unzipped the phpbb 3.1 to C:\mini_server_17_phpbb\udrive\www\phpBB31 then called up the Install process by typing in http://localhost:8097/phpbb31/install/ in the browser where I was met by error Ok how do I gain permissions to install Thanks.
-
Yes I suspect phpbb has a problem with their software I have tried the same thing on hostgator and its not working their either getting different errors, its actually two different problems on hostgator. Sadly the problems and errors will go unreported because of the micky mouse way phpbb administers their message board they chase away more users than they get to help them, I am done with trying to post on the phpbb message board over the years I have created 11 accounts, 11 different emails, each time I come across a new problem then return my account does not work says my password is bad cant get a new password its a real cycle of stupid more than once I have given a moderator all my emails and user names ask them to delete them all they dont, most the admin at that site is ego and emotional driven I am done with them if these current problems cant be resolved I will dump phpbb and go with something else even if its a lesser product at least I dont have to deal with the morons that run the program. Sorry for the phpbb rant. Thanks so much for all your help you have a great setup I have been in love with since the first time I installed. I installed your latest build and must say I like the user interface and admin panel of Uniform Server 7.1.11-Orion much better. Thanks again.

LimitRequestLine 30000 LimitRequestFieldSize 30000 Request-URI Too LargeThe requested URL's length exceeds the capacity limit for this server. Suggestions? Thanks again.

Uniform Server - Services as Administrator
rustyp replied to Yoni's topic in Uniform Server - Windows
Hi sorry for the delay in my reply, the page comes up dark gray on my end with white fonts on my end but its much better, I also think some of the images are missing? That is a great write up and great advice it points out many things I would have never thought about, I have read many articles over the years about building a home server you cover things nobody else has ever mention. As soon as I get caught up here I will be applying these using your page as step by step instructions, I only have one drive in the computer I plan to use and it only has one partition on that drive so I will need to add another drive first or can the one drive have another partition added without formatting and starting over, it currently has WinXP installed. Thanks again so much you should be proud of your work nobody else offers this.
