Has anyone else noticed how tough it’s become to hire Laravel devs? I’m building out a SaaS platform, and every Laravel developer I contact either has crazy high rates or zero availability. I thought Laravel was supposed to be everywhere after the pandemic boom, but it’s like they all vanished. Thinking of ditching it for something else, but not sure what.

Man, I feel that! I ran into the same thing last year. I was trying to scale my platform and couldn’t find any decent Laravel devs. Finally, I gave up looking locally and turned to one of the IT Staffing Companies in the USA. They hooked me up with a few guys from Eastern Europe, and it was a game-changer. Honestly, they were just as skilled, and the rates were more reasonable. Maybe don’t give up on Laravel yet—just cast a wider net.

Yeah, it's tough these days, no doubt. I went through the same thing while launching a fintech app earlier this year. The local market was dry, so I hired some remote developers from Argentina. Best decision ever. They’re super reliable, and it’s been smooth sailing. Laravel’s still a solid choice if you can handle managing a remote team. It’s worth it if you can find the right people.
