RyanBrooks
I've been trying to teach my African grey a few tricks, but I'm not getting anywhere. He seems smart and picks up words quickly, but he's slow when it comes to training, like stepping up or learning commands. I wonder if I'm doing something wrong or if I need to be more patient. How do you guys train your parrots? Do you have any tips for getting better results?
MiaDayson
Training parrots can be tricky, but patience is key! I had similar issues with my cockatoo when I first got him. Positive reinforcement works best—lots of treats and praise. I’ve also read that consistency is really important. If you’re looking for more detailed advice, this page on goffin cockatoo for sale has helpful tips on training and interacting with parrots. Just stick with it, and you’ll see progress! SophiaRivers
I’ve always been fascinated by how smart parrots are, especially when it comes to learning tricks and talking. I don’t own one myself, but I’ve seen some amazing videos of birds doing everything from playing basketball to mimicking full conversations. It’s cool how much time and effort goes into training them, and it seems like the bond between owner and bird helps them learn faster.
