Can you please tell me what are some ways to check a house for air leaks? I want to make sure there is no heat loss in the winter. Maybe someone knows companies that provide such services?

Testing your home for air leakage is a really important step to ensure your home is energy efficient and to reduce your heating bills, especially in the winter. There are several methods that can be used to air leakage testing and each has its own advantages. One of the most accurate and effective ways to test is the Blower Door test. This method involves creating a rarefied pressure inside a building using a powerful fan installed in a doorway. This test can identify even the smallest gaps and places where air can get in or out. Thanks to this method, it is possible to determine exactly where insulation needs to be reinforced or defects in construction need to be corrected.

Several methods can be used to test for air leaks. One of the most popular is the pressure method. To do this, first close all valve elements and pressurize the system with air. Then check to see if air is escaping through leaks. You can use soap solutions: applying them to the connections, you will see bubbles in the places of leaks. There are also specialized tools, such as leak detectors, that can help you find leaks faster. It's also important to check all joints and seams, as these can be weak spots. Good luck!

Of course, it is very important to check for air leaks in your home to keep it warm in winter. But it is also important how much electricity you spend on heating your home. I think everyone would like to minimize these costs as much as possible. Therefore, I would like to recommend you to read American Power and Gas reviews , because with the help of this company you will be able to use environmentally friendly energy and pay much less for it than before.
