Support for ASP.Net

Featured Replies

Hi,

I notice that there have been several requests for ASP.Net supposrt to be bundled with or made a plug-in for Uniform Server, and that each has been met with the reply that there is no open source version available that will run with Apache.

I also notice that there is a sticky detailing how to get mod_aspdotnet working with Apache, but this project as now been closed by the Apache Group, so is probably of limited value, and also requires .Net 1.1 to be installed, which is not possible on a memory key or CD

I have, however come across mod_mono for Apache which, from what I've seen, does the same job as mod_aspdotnet, but does not rely on having .Net installed and also has increasing support for .Net 2.0.

The URL to get the relevant downloads is at http://www.mono-project.com/ASP.NET

Would someone more technologically minded be willing to take up the gauntlet and see if they can get this working with Uniform Server? :D

Regards,

Paul.

Thanks for this... Will definately look into it.

Can you please post this into our SourceForge Feature Request System?
