I want to update some old scripts that were made in the php 4 days, compatible with newer versions like 5, 7 and 8.

    For PHP 4, I think you probably would be better of setting up your own versions of Apache and PHP. 

    You can the required version in the old PHP archives at https://www.php.net/releases/

    How do I do that? Can I just replace the php 7 folder with the php 4 folder, then have php start?
