Uniform server is great! I've been looking for a portable WAMP for quite some time. It's not perfect. but It's working great. Here are some packages I've successfully installed and ran.

 

CMS Made Simple (looks fully functional)

 

MediaWiki (looks fully functional)

 

VTiger CRM (working, but complaining about MySQL 5 and PEAR). Althoght I have tried the addon mysql downgrade (seems to make Uniform stop working) and I thought PEAR was installed already.

 

I wanted to install coppermine but that would require imagemagik or GD. Maybe in another version.

Looks liek the VTiger CRM PEAR problem is script related and not server

PEAR might be installed/included in the next version... if size permits.

Installing PEAR at the start would be useful to some.

 

Yet it might put some others off, afterall, what are we offering? A fully features server that boasts an excellent size. Personally, I think that the PEAR package should not be included, simply because users do not like it anmd users who do can easily install it anyway.

 

Everyone's happy with it not being included out of the box. ;D

No need for that anymore.... We will have a .bat PEAR installer included with the go_pear.php. Someone just thought me a hack
