If there is a 32 bit version?

Not sure.. i'm still using orion 7.0.1 lol and think that might well be 32bit as it used to run on my old 32bit machines...

Yes, UniformServer is built using the 32 bit versions of Apache, PHP and MySQL as well as all the other modules. However, we are thinking of moving this to the 64 bit versions given that most of the Operating Systems today are 64 bit.

I am running Windows 7, its 32 bit and I downloaded the latest version 14_0_2_ZeroXIV 

What can I do to fix this?

Select: vc_redist.x86.exe

You need the 32 bit runtimes for UniformServer.

Has anyone been able to get this to work on 32 bit only system, as POS systems are still built with software that made to run on 32 bit mode only.

Did that very thing and, still, NO LOVE on the Win 10 32-Bit machine - not happy...

I don't have a 32 bit machine to test it out on.. However, if you would like I am willing to take some time to check it out on your system and see how I can get you up and running..

Is there a reason why we're having to rely on these VC runtimes now? - We never used to.

The Uniform Server Core Controller does not need the VC runtimes. However, the builds for both Apache as well as PHP rely on them and are built using the VC runtimes as dependencies. Hence the requirement for the users who use Apache and PHP will also need the VC runtimes.
