October 16, 201312 yr comment_11059 I have tried searching the forum archives and the web for instructions on upgrading Uniserver's MySQL version, but cannot find any. Can someone provide me instructions? I am currently running Uniserver 8.8.1 and want to upgrade the MySQL from 5.5.30 to 5.6.13. I have tried downloading a ZIP of MySQL 5.6.13 and loosely following the directions on http://wiki.uniformserver.com/index.php/Oily_Rag_1:_MySQL_upgrade_5.0.41_to_5.0.51b, but MySQL would not start after the changes. Or is this the point of Uniform Server Series Zero...? Report
October 19, 201312 yr comment_11063 The following is a quick and dirty way to upgrade. It will give you a working MySQL server:Uniserver 8.8.1 upgrade MySQL from 5.5.30 to 5.6.14A) Download ZeroXI_mysql_5_6_14.exe and save to folder some_temp Double click ZeroXI_mysql_5_6_14.exe to extract filesC) Navigate to folder some_temp\core\mysql create two copies of file my.ini Rename these copies to small_my.ini and medium_my.iniD) Navigate to folder some_temp\core\mysql\bin rename file mysqld_z.exe to mysqld1.exeE) Uniserver 8.8.1 Delete folder C:\UniServer\usr\local\mysqlF) Copy folder some_temp\core\mysql to folder C:\UniServer\usr\localYou will need to make additional changes to the configuration file as appropriate for your requirements.Ideally use the new Uniform Server Series ZeroXI because other versions are no longer supported. All the bestRic Report

Please could you tell me how to upgrade on ZeroXI. Thanks Report
