login to phpmyadmin problem

Featured Replies

I have tried 2 solutions given on this forum

editing config-inc.php for the config of phpmyadmin

editing mysql_password so its empty(I normally dont install with a password- but root was originally in this file now set to nothing.)

I think it would be quicker to reinstall the server than do the steps of going into SSH for mysql routine for resetting master password. And I dont think I forgot the password.

is there something im missing.

The login for phpmadmin is the same as fr the daabase no?

thanks

Never edit the config.inc.php file for the passowrd. Just the mysql_password file.

The mysql_password should have "root" in it.

The config.inc.php file should have the implode funtion.

If you changed anything, download a new copy and replace it with both files.

the implode function seems to be somethng you have added to phpmyadmin, or it isnt in the latest release. I have never got it to work and have always had to edit out this implode function.

I will have alook at your latest release to see the phpmyadmin file.

thanks

I got the new beta working (it doesnt have implode function) i just had to enter root into the config file now called config.default.php

should I use implode?

By the way I still dont get email notification for replies to this board. Is it me or is the general reliability of email crap these days.

A. We have and always used the implode function.

B. The new Beta? How did you get the password to that file? ;)

C. The config file is still sonfig.inc.php and will always be for phpMyAdmin.

D. Did you turn it On? I get it, spammed by it ;) Make sure it is turned On.
