Trying to install either 7.1.15 or 8.0.0 on Windows 2000 Service. I have previously had great success with 7.1.x on Windows XP.

 

Getting error message where the controller, server status check, etc. actions are trying to call getnameinfo or getaddrinfo in WS2_32.dll. And not succeeding.

Looking at the two links above, it seems that special provision must be made to call these functions under Windows 2000 Server/Professional.

 

Is UniServer expected to run under Win2000?
