64 bit ?

Featured Replies

Hello.. im going to switch to 64 bit xp pro soon.. And i was wondering is uniformserver also optimized for 64 bit os ?

um, i really dont know if it will work. Rest asure that if Apache, PHP and MySQL are optimized then it should work... but i am really unsure.. give it a try and tell us if it works... ;)

k will give it a shot.. apache should work good on 64 bit i believe... Only for most apps there is a 32 bit and a 64 bit version... so that why i was asking

 hmm it does not run anymore ;).. i do get the start page but then when i try to visit a site i get..

Unable to connect

Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at localhost.

* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few

moments.

* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network

connection.

* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure

that Deer Park is permitted to access the Web.

So the server starts and you can see http://localhost/a/? but not http://localhost/?

Is that correct? Also check to make sure IIS is not on or another server...

yup that is correct.. i dont think IIS is on since, when i havent started server.. i cant reach localhost also

Is it possible there is 16 bit code in the WAMP server i read somewhere that 16 bit appz wont run in 64 bit envorment only 32 bit or something..

  • Author

also it does not run php it wants to download the php file :)

It might be Apache 2 under 64 bit.. as Wampserver now works with Apache 1

Also i only could finf 64 bit server for Linux ;)

Is there a patch for Uniform server to install old apache as i don't feel like exporting all stuff to wampserver

We are working on a plugin for users who want to downgrade Apache to Apache 1.

Before it comes out, we will still need a NSIS Programmer to help with the installers, so if you know any, please send them our way.

Thanks.

Ok so I assume this will going to take some time before this will be released? Else i'm forced to still use WAMPSERVER as I need to develop some things soon

Yeah pretty much... We just found a NSIS Programmer but i can't put a date on the release date cause we have lots of plugins to make installers for...

I will try and force him to work as fast as he can :) ;)
