April 21, 201114 yr comment_9211 So, I've changed the port Apache uses to port 500 because 80 was full of system and some IIS that kept coming back every time I killed it. Whenever I run that pre-run check it says ports are free, and when I try to start Apache, a command prompt flashes up and then closes faster than I can read what's on screen. My current guess is that port 500 isn't actually a free port or something or the port doesn't exist, I haven't checked that yet though. When I run server status, it tells me MySQL is running fine, but that Apache isn't running and both its SSL and normal ports are free. Report
April 21, 201114 yr Author comment_9213 So I've fixed most of my problems. I found a syntax error on line 124 of the config file (there was a "#" beside the listen line). It will now launch. I just can't view localhost in my browser. Report
April 21, 201114 yr comment_9218 Did you use http://localhost:500/ ? (Sorry, had to check the obvious first) If you're using UniTray.exe to start the servers, you also need to change \home\admin\www\redirect.html so it will go tolocalhost:500 Regards,BobS Report
May 12, 201114 yr comment_9248 Disable IIS so it wont occupy port 80. Or just change its port if it keeps messing up: I am representing the open tibia community otland.netotland.net is contributing open source server software to an 2d mmorpg game called Tibia. Here are some Uniform server tutorials/guide contributions from me:VIDEO TUTORIAL: I teach newbreeds to install and operate uniform server: (Updated for Coral 8.x)http://youtu.be/AsyxPhDTOcIUniform Server newbie guide:Securely installing Uniform Server for total newbeginners:http://otland.net/f479/nothing-fully-worki...-0-3-6-a-77593/(also contains how to get our open source tibia game, and connect it successfully to the uniform mysql server). How to add a website for our open source tibia game which includes highscore, create account and so on: (On uniform server)http://otland.net/f479/website-installing-...m-server-91951/ Report
