Hey, you guys are back online. Poor guys having to do everything because of a server problem. Now when you say site and forum, does that mean this, because I dont actually see a "site" if you know what I mean. Anyway it's great that this is back, and as far as I'm concern the forum here looks great, though remember it was green... anyway i'm glad your back.

 

Oh what's with the RSS feed? It's showing xHTML i suspose, is it because you dont have a css file for it?

Well, the site is not yet released. It will be open by March 1st so and wlecome back by the way. Long time no see/hear...

 

Well I do not get what you mean by the RSS feeding out xHTML..? If you mean the XHTML tags, then yes. The forum is coded in XHTML so it does have top print it out in XHTML .... the BR tags for example...

Hey, the preview site looks great.(thanx for that) Oh and what I meant about the the RSS feed, when you click on the link, you see the source of the page, not the page page. Like the script for it. at the very top says something liek this:

hmm... That does not happen to me (The XML Error)... I will look into it tomorrow at school....

 

By the way.. XML is tags... to view an RSS Feed, you need a client like Feed Demon or Rage for Firefox RSS shows the code when viewed with IE but when viewed with a feed client, it shows it well.

We are currently working on fixing bugs and also shrinking the server down to about 4?MB cause it is like 5MB now since phpMyAdmin and MySQL 4.1.X is installed and those are big packages...

probably i should start this in another thread but i have a question.

i have already updated the mysql server in 3.2

In the latest version, there is no mysqld-opt.exe & used mysqld-max-nt or mysqld-nt but sometimes it reports failure - and uniserver needs to be restarted.

 

Do you have an idea why this does this happen?

Yes because those files do not work as the default.

 

If you want, i can send you a updated version of the mysql dir so you can use it

I am glad to be one of the beta testers.

Very soon, we will be setting up a Beta Center for beta users and also an application and other needed things so watch out for that also...

 

The Beta Center will make it easy for Beta Testers to download things and also do toher things It will or may be also integrated into the forum member system so we do not need you to re-register.

For the RSS discussion, I can add that the RSS feed isn't *supposed* to have any style info associated with it. RSS feeds are for XML-reading RSS/RDF reader appications/scripts. It's a news format, not a page format.

 

Try FeedReader or any other RSS-reading application to see how it works.

and the site need more image to show the soft

 

from the code , i see the site build on XHTML,that's good , i dont konw how popular the W3C is ? but that's must be the next web stand vision

Yes, thats a fact. I am still working on the banner... but the logo will be the same... (what do you think.. or what do you think is wrong with the logo? like to hear more...)

 

Also, yes the website is based on web standrads and though most are not yet into it.. it is becoming big and necessary.... many web designers of today design web standard websites.... its a fact.... and W3C may not seem popular to some, they are popular to those who are really into webdesign

ye ,the logo ,for my poor english, i couldnot explain it better,i try my best ,i think a logo should tell the looker the meaning of it

so uniformserver was a clean, green software ,so the logo also should be suggest this meaning or more ,the used logo as i seem dont

show these things. that's just what i thinked
