Uniform Server 4.2-Mona

Featured Replies

This release of Mona is an upgrade to the core components either because of stability or security issues.

Specification changes:

- MySQL updated to 5.1.34;

- PHP security update 5.2.9-2;

- eAccelerator updated to 0953_5.2.9.2

- few minor corrections;

Unless there are serious bugs, significant changes to the core components (bugs) or security updates this is the last in the Mona series. Any further releases will be maintenance only.

Wiki support material has been updated to reflect this new release.

A new Wiki page, Self-contained USB MediaWiki can be used as a template for other self-contained applications. It demonstrates a powerful feature, ability to easily move the server to different ports allowing several servers to be run concurrently.

Well! Nominations are about over (29-5-09), trust everyone exercised their digits and nominated Uniform Server! :blink:

If we succeeded in the nominations will post where to vote. ;)

Oops! The above should have been posted in another thread. ;)

Hey! No problem, 4.2-Mona is an excellent piece of kit. :)

I noticed that more downloads favour the zip as opposed to the exe file. :blink:

It’s a shame! The zip may be larger but you get no more bangs for your buck, they are identical! Well older versions of Vista had problems with zip files hence the more covenant 7Z.EXE. It’s a self-extracting archive, that’s all, adds nothing to your PC other than extracting to a folder of your choice. :)

All the best

Ric :)
