Best way to install Uniform Server?

Featured Replies

I have been using Uniform Server on my regular system since v4.0 was released. I have been using the basic install on an external HDD starting it manually with Unicontroller.

This week I picked up a system to use as a dedicated server. Looking for some recommendations on installation type and automatic starting methods.

Thank You,

Denis LeBlanc

Doenload 4.1-Mona

Install as basic

Navigate to folder UniServer\udrive\plugins\Services

Double click on Run.bat – Wait for it to complete – Installs UniServer as a service.

You can delete your basic install if you wish to save space..

Navigate to folder C:\UniServer this is the location of your new server.

I have 4.1 downloaded but was not sure if running as a service was the answer.

If you plan on using one system as a dedicated server it is usually best to set up Uniform Server as a service, this way should something to your box then UniServer will start up automatically.
