Featured Replies

I m trying to connect to a database but I dont know the password of the root.

I never entered one so I suppose that it is a default password.

I granted pma user, temporary, because has no password. It works for now

but I d like to learn the roots password also.

Thanks

All name password pairs are set to root root

MySQL password is root

Note 1: Set a new MySQL password using Apanel do NOT use phpMyAdmin otherwise you will need to read this page: Lost Password

Note 2: Mona automates password recovery: Security & passwords

Is there any reason why my password will not change when using apanel even after shuting down and restarting the server? I eventually had to change the password in the mysql_password file to change it? This is in 5.5-Nano also

My first thought was file is read only! However you were able to change it.

That seems to suggest it could be some virus or other protection not allowing you to write to a file on your PC.

Other than that I have no idea of the cause. What OS, Firewall and Virus checker are you using?
